Cooling-off (14-day right to withdraw)
You have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance or off-premises contract without giving a reason under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To use this right, notify Care by Volvo by post or email within 14 days of the binding contract. If you withdraw within 14 days, any prepayment will be refunded; reimbursements must be made without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days of notice.
Required proof documents: written email or registered post notice stating your decision and a copy of the original contract or order confirmation. See the legislation: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Cancellation before delivery
Volvo voluntarily allows cancellation without reason at any time before delivery for certain Services Agreements. If the cancellation is before delivery, advance payments for vehicle orders such as the EX90 are refundable; Volvo states refunds for EX90 advance payments will be made within 10 working days.
Required proof documents: contract/order confirmation and proof of payment.
Fixed-term contracts and end of commitment
For fixed-term subscriptions Care by Volvo states you may terminate with at least three months advance notice, but you cannot give notice until after delivery of the car. Fixed plans commonly have a 36-month commitment.
Required proof documents: contract showing start/delivery dates and a formal notice of termination sent by email or registered post.
Price increase
Care by Volvo does not publish a specific public rule allowing termination solely for price increases. Under general consumer law, an unexpected unilateral price increase that is not permitted by contract terms could be challenged under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for unfair terms. Contact support to request contractual evidence and put a formal complaint in writing.
Required proof documents: copy of the contract showing pricing clause and any notice of price change sent by Care by Volvo.
Death of subscriber
Care by Volvo does not publish a public policy for termination on the death of a subscriber in the research sources. If you need to close a subscription because of a subscriber death, contact Care by Volvo support with a copy of the death certificate and the contract reference. Provide proof of authority to act on behalf of the estate if required.
Required proof documents: death certificate and document proving authority to act (evidence of executorship).
Legitimate grounds and service failures
Services must be performed with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If Care by Volvo fails to perform services with reasonable care and skill, you may have a right to remedies including termination and refund depending on the severity of the breach. Report faults in writing and keep records of service visits and communications.
Required proof documents: service records, photographs of defects, written correspondence and copies of invoices.
