Moving - change of residence
If you move and need to cancel a distance contract such as an online car order, the statutory 14-day cooling-off right applies if you cancel within 14 days from contract conclusion. Proof required: your order number and a cancellation notification. If cancellation occurs after 14 days and Polestar cannot provide a specific acceptance of moving as a special ground, contractual terms apply - Not published by Polestar. Price increase
If Polestar raises the price of a future service or subscription and that change materially alters your agreement, you have a right to cancel under contract law and consumer protection rules. Required proof: notification of the price increase and your contract reference. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 for unfair terms and the CMA guidance on auto-renewal and price increases.
Death of subscriber
When the registered buyer has died, cancellations for goods or services should be made by the estate representative. Required proof: death certificate and estate representative proof. Polestar does not publish a specific death policy; follow general contract law and contact Polestar Support for next steps.
Legitimate ground accepted by Polestar
Polestar permits cancellation of online car orders within the 14-day cooling-off period without penalty. For Pick-up and Delivery bookings, cancellations and rescheduling should be made through the original booking channel and may incur a fee proportional to costs incurred. End of commitment
When a finance agreement or contract hire ends, you are free to return the vehicle following the end-of-contract instructions in your finance contract. Required proof: contract reference and final inspection report if returning a vehicle. Finance is provided by Volvo Car Financial Services UK Limited for Polestar Choices and is subject to separate contract terms published on Polestar offer pages such as Polestar 2 PCP offers.
Cooling-off period
