ClassDojo Plus

ClassDojo Plus is a paid subscription that adds Unlimited Home Points and Rewards, Enhanced Progress Reports, Memories and Enhanced Messaging. Exact GBP prices are set inside the app during sign-up and are not publicly published.

ClassDojo targets K-8 teachers, students and families and reports 50 million monthly active users worldwide.

Web - cancel via Stripe / in-app web

1. Open the ClassDojo app or visit ClassDojo account settings in a browser.
2. Tap your profile icon and choose Account Settings.
3. Tap ClassDojo Plus then Manage/Cancel Subscription.
4. Tap Manage subscription, then Cancel Subscription and confirm.
5. Save a screenshot of the cancellation confirmation and check that billing status shows expired or cancelled.

iOS - cancel via Apple

1. Open the ClassDojo app and go to Profile then Account Settings.
2. Select ClassDojo Plus then Manage/Cancel Subscription. This opens Apple Subscriptions.
3. In Apple Subscriptions, tap ClassDojo and then Cancel Subscription. Confirm the cancellation in the Apple dialog.
4. Keep the Apple email confirmation or screenshot of the Active/Cancelled status.

Android - cancel via Google Play

1. Open ClassDojo app and go to Profile then Account Settings.
2. Choose ClassDojo Plus then Manage Subscription to open Google Play billing.
3. Tap ClassDojo then Cancel Subscription. Select a reason and confirm.
4. Save the Google Play confirmation email or screenshot.

Email cancellation

1. Send email to [email protected] from the account email address.
2. Include your full name, account email, last 4 digits of the payment card and request Refund or Cancel ClassDojo Plus.
3. Keep the support reply as proof. If you need faster proof, follow up asking for written confirmation of cancellation and final billing date.

Post - registered letter

1. Write a signed letter with your full name, account email, account ID if known and the explicit statement Cancel my ClassDojo Plus subscription.
2. Send by registered post to ClassDojo, Beale Street, 94105 San Francisco, USA and keep the proof of postage and delivery receipt.
3. Allow time for processing and follow up by email quoting the delivery receipt.

Moving abroad or to another school

Rule - You may cancel if you no longer need the service for the account holder. ClassDojo does not publish a special moving policy. To request a cancellation based on relocation, provide a signed statement with the new address or school documentation and your account email. Send this to [email protected] or by registered post. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 for quality of service.

Price increase

Rule - If a price increase materially changes the contract you accepted, you may cancel without penalty. ClassDojo terms require notification for changes. Provide the ClassDojo notification, a screenshot of the new price and your cancellation request. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Competition and Markets Authority guidance on automatic renewals.

Death of subscriber

Rule - ClassDojo does not publish a public process for death of a subscriber. To cancel, send a copy of the death certificate and the account holder details to [email protected] or by registered letter to the postal address. State that you are the executor and request account closure and cancellation of any paid subscription.

Legitimate ground for refund or dispute

Rule - ClassDojo states refunds are discretionary and disputes are handled case by case. To file a dispute, provide transactional evidence, screenshots and a clear statement of the issue. For Apple purchases request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play and Stripe requests use ClassDojo help forms or your payment provider. Note: for unauthorised or problematic charges you must submit a claim within 30 days after the charge according to ClassDojo's exceptions.

End of commitment

Rule - ClassDojo Plus monthly or annual plans are managed through the store that billed you. Cancel before the renewal date in your Apple, Google or Stripe subscription settings. Provide the subscription screen screenshot and the final billing date as proof.

Cooling-off (14 day right)

Rule - For purchases concluded online you have a 14 day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 except where you expressly consent to immediate performance of digital services. If you started the ClassDojo Plus trial or paid plan and consented to start performance during the cooling-off period you may lose the right to a full refund for the period already used. To exercise cooling-off, notify ClassDojo with a clear statement and request refund. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and UK cooling-off rules as referenced in the 2024 legislation on cooling-off rights.

Before cancelling: negotiate

ClassDojo does not publish standard retention offers. There are no published reports of automatic discounts or account credits to retain subscribers. To ask for retention options, email [email protected] and state your account email, last billing date and the solution you want - for example a refund for unused time or an account credit. If you purchased via Apple request a refund through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play ask Google Play for a refund and copy [email protected].

Cooling-off and digital services

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 provide a 14 day cooling-off period for most online contracts with a refund, except where you expressly consent to immediate performance of digital content. UK updates to cooling-off rights are referenced in the 2024 legislation on cooling-off rights.

Auto-renewal and the regulator

The Competition and Markets Authority treats hard-to-cancel subscriptions and unclear auto-renewal terms as potential unfair practices. If you suspect unfair terms complain to ClassDojo first, then Citizens Advice, and escalate to the CMA or your payment provider if needed.

How to escalate a dispute

Step 1 - Complain to ClassDojo by email to [email protected] with evidence.

Step 2 - If unresolved seek guidance from Citizens Advice and file a complaint with the CMA for problematic auto-renewal practices.

Step 3 - For card payments consider a chargeback with your card issuer or Section 75 for qualifying transactions. Refer to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 when arguing statutory rights.

Check access and final billing

After cancellation auto-renewal stops immediately but you will retain Plus access until the end of the current billing period. Expect the final charge to remain on your statement and check the billing date. ClassDojo warns that your account may be charged up to 24 hours before the renewal date.

Data and account deletion

Deleting your ClassDojo account does not cancel your Plus subscription. To cancel subscriptions keep your store subscription cancelled first, then request account deletion at the ClassDojo support channels. Save exported data or screenshots before deletion.

Re-activation and refunds

To re-subscribe, sign up again through the app stores or in-app purchase flow. Refunds are discretionary; Apple refunds must be requested via Apple, Google Play refunds via Google and Stripe payments via ClassDojo forms. Keep all confirmation emails for any refund request.

• If you plan to delete your account, cancel the paid subscription first; deleting the account does not cancel Plus.
