Overview

Runna is a running coaching app developed by THE RUN BUDDY LTD. It offers guided plans, audio coaching, strength sessions and device integrations to help runners train for distances from 5K to ultramarathons.

How the product is sold

Runna is offered as a free tier plus Premium subscriptions purchased via Apple App Store, Google Play, Paddle (web) or via Strava. Paid plans include a 7-day free trial for Premium.

Who uses it

Runna targets runners at all levels seeking structured plans, AI feedback and coach messaging, and works with Apple Watch, Garmin, COROS and Suunto devices.

Apple App Store (iOS) - full steps

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
3. Find Runna and tap Cancel Subscription.
4. Keep a screenshot of the subscription page or Apple confirmation email for your records.

Google Play (Android) - full steps

1. Open Google Play Store app on your device.
2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
3. Select Runna and tap Cancel subscription.
4. Save the Google confirmation email or screenshot.

Web / Paddle - full steps

1. If you subscribed on the web, go to your purchase email or log into Paddle to manage subscriptions.
2. Follow Paddle cancellation links provided at purchase or via Paddle.net.

1. If you subscribed using Strava, cancel from your Strava account settings or contact Strava support for help.

Email or in-app support - full steps

1. Send an email to [email protected] or use the in-app help center describing you want to cancel and which platform you used to subscribe.
2. Runna will direct you to the correct platform; retain the reply as proof.

Postal cancellation - full steps

1. Write a signed letter stating your name, account email and the request to cancel your subscription.
2. Send by registered post to: Runna, Shoreditch High Street, E1 6JE London, United Kingdom.
3. Keep proof of postage and delivery receipt.

Moving abroad or to another country

If you move and your subscription is no longer usable due to geographic restrictions, provide proof of new address such as a utility bill or tenancy agreement. Runna does not publish a special relocation cancellation form; cancel via the platform used for purchase and attach proof to your email to [email protected] if you need assistance.

Price increase

If Runna raises the price of a renewed subscription, UK law gives you the right to cancel renewals where contract terms allow a renewal cooling-off. Notify Runna or the platform with a clear statement of intent to cancel. Keep the original and new price evidence (screenshots or emails).

Death of subscriber

If the subscriber dies, provide a death certificate and the account email to [email protected]. Runna's published policy does not list an explicit form, so cancellation must be handled via the platform of purchase. Retain the death certificate copy and all correspondence.

Legitimate ground - service fault or poor performance

End of commitment

If you purchased an annual plan, the minimum commitment is 12 months because the annual plan is billed annually at £99.99. Cancel before renewal (at least 24 hours before period end) to avoid the next annual charge.

Cooling-off (14-day right)

If you bought online you generally have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Digital content exceptions apply if you expressly consented to immediate access to digital content before the end of the 14 days. Keep purchase confirmation and any consent evidence.

Before you cancel: negotiate

Runna does not publish standard retention offers in the public research data. To ask for a retention offer, contact [email protected] or use the in-app help center at Runna subscription help. Ask explicitly for a price match, a discounted re-subscription or an extension of your trial. Keep any written offer as proof before accepting.

Re-activation

To re-activate later, subscribe again through your chosen platform. If you had an annual plan and cancelled before renewal you may be able to re-subscribe at the then-current price.
