GTA Plus is a monthly paid subscription service that delivers recurring in-game benefits for Grand Theft Auto Online. The subscription is billed monthly and renews automatically until you cancel.

Web cancellation (recommended)

1. Go to https://gtaplus.com/.
2. Sign in with the account used to purchase GTA Plus.
3. Open subscription or billing settings and choose Cancel subscription.
4. Follow on-screen prompts until you receive a confirmation on-screen and/or by email. Keep the confirmation for your records.

Cancel on PlayStation or Apple

1. If you bought GTA Plus through the PlayStation Store or Apple App Store, open the subscription management area of that store.
2. Locate the GTA Plus subscription and select Cancel subscription.
3. Confirm the cancellation and retain the store confirmation email as proof.

Cancel on Google Play

1. Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
2. Tap your profile, select Payments and subscriptions then Subscriptions.
3. Find GTA Plus and tap Cancel subscription. Save the confirmation.

Cancel by post

1. Write a signed letter with your full name, account email, platform used and a clear statement that you wish to "Cancel" the GTA Plus subscription.
2. Send the letter by registered post to: GTA Plus, Crown Way, CF14 3UZ Cardiff, United Kingdom.
3. Keep the registered post receipt as proof. Allow 7-10 working days for processing before the next billing date.

Cancel by email or phone

1. If you prefer email, send an unequivocal cancellation request with your account details. GTA Plus support email address is not published; check receipts or platform support pages for the correct address.
2. If phone support details are available from your platform or receipt, call and request cancellation and note any reference number.

Cooling-off - withdrawal within 14 days

Rule - Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14 day statutory cooling-off period after an online purchase of a service. For digital services the right to withdraw is lost if you expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged losing the right to withdraw. If you cancel within 14 days and the service was not used or you did not consent to immediate access, you are entitled to a refund. Reimbursement must be made within 14 days of being notified.

Required proof - order confirmation, transaction ID, date of purchase and a clear statement of withdrawal.

Applicable law - Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Defective or unavailable digital content

Rule - If GTA Plus digital content is defective, unavailable or does not perform as stated you have the right under UK law to a repair, replacement or refund. Refunds must be handled without undue delay and within 14 days where applicable.

Required proof - screenshots, error messages, dates/times of failures and the original purchase confirmation.

Price increase

Rule - If your subscription is subject to a price increase you may have the right to cancel if the contract permits cancellation for price rises or where the increase was not properly disclosed. Check the change terms in your subscription agreement and the notice you received.

Required proof - notification of the price increase, your original subscription terms and your account transaction history.

Death of subscriber

Rule - Termination after the death of a subscriber depends on the contract terms and platform practices. You should contact the platform or the account holder's payment provider to request termination and any applicable refunds.

Required proof - death certificate and proof of authority to act for the estate.

Applicable law - general contract law and the platform or trader terms.

End of minimum commitment

Rule - GTA Plus has a minimum commitment of 1 month. After that month you can cancel at any time with cancellation effective at the end of the current billing period.

Required proof - your subscription start date and latest billing statement.

Applicable law - contractual terms and Consumer Rights Act 2015 for fair terms.

Before you cancel - negotiate

Retention offers - There are no retention offers publicly reported for GTA Plus. If you want a better price, contact support through the official site or the platform store and ask whether there are promotional discounts or free trial extensions. Provide your account email, last 4 digits of the payment card and the date of your next billing. Keep any written response.

How much you save by cancelling

Calculation - GTA Plus costs £6.99 per month. Yearly cost: 6.99 x 12 = £83.88.

Cheapest competitor - EA Play is listed at £5.99 per month or an annual price of £35.99. If you switch from GTA Plus monthly to EA Play annual: savings = £83.88 - £35.99 = £47.89 per year. If you switch from GTA Plus monthly to EA Play monthly: monthly saving = £6.99 - £5.99 = £1.00, yearly saving = 1.00 x 12 = £12.00.

Applicable UK consumer law

The main protections are the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for digital content and services and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 which give a 14 day cooling-off period for most online contracts unless the consumer consented to immediate performance. Cooling-off, refunds and refunds window

Cooling-off - 14 day right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 applies to services bought online. For digital content, the right is lost if you consent to immediate performance and acknowledged losing the right to withdraw. Refunds - Rockstar Games does not publish a specific GTA+ refund policy beyond general digital sales rules; refunds are possible for defective or unavailable digital content and potentially within 14 days if you cancel unused service in the cooling-off period.

Escalation and remedies

If the trader refuses a lawful refund or to cancel: 1) complain to the trader in writing; 2) seek Citizens Advice guidance; 3) use card chargeback or Section 75 for qualifying credit card payments; 4) report unfair auto-renewal or hard-to-cancel issues to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Access and benefits

When you cancel, access to GTA Plus benefits continues until the end of the current billing period. You lose member-only monthly deposits and any time-limited benefits after that date.

Final billing and refunds

There is no cancellation fee. Refunds for the current paid period are not guaranteed and are only generally available if you cancel within the 14 day cooling-off period and the service was unused, or if digital content is defective or unavailable. Reimbursement must be made within 14 days of a valid withdrawal.

Data and re-activation

Your game account and progression remain with Rockstar; cancelling GTA Plus does not delete your GTA Online account. You can re-subscribe at any time via the store or the official site; future promotional offers may differ from your previous subscription price.

• Find your next billing date and payment method in your account or store receipts.
• Choose the cancellation channel you used to subscribe (GTA Plus site, PlayStation Store, Google Play, Apple).
• Cancel at least 1 working day before the next billing date when possible.
• Keep proof - screenshot of on-screen confirmation, confirmation email or registered post receipt.
• If claiming a refund, prepare purchase confirmation, transaction ID and any evidence of defects or unused service.
