iRacing is a subscription-based online racing simulation platform focused on realistic vehicle physics, licensed cars and tracks, and organised online competition. It is used by hobby sim racers and professional drivers for training and eSports.

Web (official method)

1. Go to iracing.com and log in with your account.
2. Open My Account - Auto-Renew.
3. Click "Turn OFF auto-renew" to stop future billing. Take a screenshot of confirmation.

iOS (App Store)

1. Open Settings on your Apple device and tap your Apple ID.
2. Tap Subscriptions, find iRacing and tap Cancel Subscription.
3. iRacing cannot cancel App Store subscriptions; Apple manages billing and refunds.

Android (Google Play)

1. Open Google Play Store, tap Profile - Payments and subscriptions - Subscriptions.
2. Select iRacing and Cancel subscription.
3. iRacing cannot cancel Google Play subscriptions; Google manages billing and refund windows.

Phone

1. iRacing does not publish a cancellation phone number. Use the official support system instead.
2. Open a ticket at support.iracing.com to request assistance and keep the ticket ID.

Email and support ticket

1. Email [email protected] or submit a support ticket at support.iracing.com.
2. Include account email, username, and a clear request: "Please cancel auto-renew and stop future billing."
3. Save the ticket ID and any reply for proof.

Post (registered letter)

1. Send a registered letter to iRacing, 8911 North Capital of Texas Highway, Building 2, Suite 2200, 78759 Austin, USA.
2. Include account email, username and signed instruction to cancel auto-renew. Keep registered mail receipt.

Cooling-off period (14 days)

If you bought a subscription online you have a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The right starts when you enter the contract. However, iRacing's terms waive the 14-day right once the service or digital content starts if you gave express consent for immediate access. See Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Price increase

If iRacing increases subscription prices, UK consumer law allows cancellation of a subscription where the price rises during a fixed term and the contract permits cancellation. Death of subscriber

To cancel after the subscriber has died, send a copy of the death certificate and account details to [email protected] or open a support ticket. Legal basis: contract cannot be performed for the deceased; use evidence such as the death certificate and proof of account ownership.

Moving abroad

Moving or relocation is not listed as an automatic ground for refund in iRacing publications. To stop future billing, turn off auto-renew via your web account or cancel via the payment platform used. Keep screenshots and confirmation.

Legitimate ground and technical failure

If iRacing fails to provide the service with reasonable care and skill you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Submit evidence of the failure (logs, screenshots, support ticket) and ask for refund or termination. The law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 (services must be performed with reasonable care and skill).

End of commitment

For monthly or annual subscriptions, cancel via My Account before the renewal date. Proof of cancellation is the on-screen confirmation, support ticket reply, or App Store / Google Play confirmation.

Before you cancel: how to ask for retention offers

iRacing does not publish standard retention discounts publicly. To request a retention offer, open a support ticket at support.iracing.com or email [email protected]. Provide your account email, current plan, and say you are considering cancelling. Ask explicitly for a retention discount or a discounted renewal rate and request a written confirmation if an offer is made. Keep ticket ID and replies as proof.

Regular 1 Year price (effective Aug 18, 2026): 12.50 GBP per month equivalent is shown as £124.50 per year (listed as "1 Year Regular Price" at £124.50). Calculation: £124.50 x 1 = £124.50 per year.

New member 1 Year discounted price: £59.69 per year. Calculation: £59.69 x 1 = £59.69 per year.

Alternative: Automobilista annual price: £19.99 per year. Savings if you cancel a Regular 1 Year plan: £124.50 - £19.99 = £104.51 per year.

Savings if you cancel a New Member 1 Year plan: £59.69 - £19.99 = £39.70 per year.

Auto-renewal and unfair practices

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) treats hard-to-cancel subscriptions and unclear auto-renewal terms as potentially unfair. If iRacing applied unclear renewal terms or made cancellation difficult, complain first to iRacing in writing, then escalate to Citizens Advice for next steps and possible reporting to the CMA.

Escalation steps

Access and service period

If you turn off auto-renew you will retain access for the remainder of the paid period. If you cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription, access remains until the end of the billed period as shown by Apple or Google.

Data and account

Your account data and purchased cars/tracks remain tied to your account. To request account deletion, contact [email protected]. Keep a copy of account details and any confirmation emails.

Final billing and refunds

iRacing states that subscriptions and in-game purchases are generally non-refundable once access has begun. If you believe you are owed a refund for billing error or unauthorised charge, open a support ticket and provide evidence. For App Store and Google Play purchases, request refunds from Apple or Google respectively.

Re-activation

You may re-activate at any time by renewing membership. Promotional "new member" pricing may not be available on re-join. Keep confirmation of any retained content after re-activation.
