Primary users are game server owners and creators who monetise private game servers, sell virtual items and integrate with platforms like Discord. Tebex provides payment processing, store templates and server-side automation.

Quick company facts

Web - immediate cancel via subscription email or account

1. Find a Tebex subscription email in your inbox containing a cancel button.
2. Click the cancel button and follow the on-screen confirmation.
3. Alternatively log into your Tebex account and review payment history or Billing > Plans if you are a creator.
4. Save the confirmation email or take a screenshot of the cancelled subscription.

Creators - downgrade plan in Control Panel

1. Sign in to the Tebex Control Panel.
2. Go to Settings > Billing > Plans.
3. Choose Downgrade and switch from Plus to Starter to stop paid plan billing.
4. Confirm and keep the confirmation email for records.

Email cancellation and withdrawal

1. Send an email to [email protected] clearly stating your request to Cancel or to withdraw from the contract.
2. Include order ID, subscriber name, email and payment details.
3. Keep the sent email and any reply; refunds required by law will be processed within 14 days of notification.

Post - formal contractual notice

1. Prepare a registered letter addressed to Levy Cohen & Co, 5.2 Central House, 1 Ballards Lane, London, N3 1LQ referencing clause 19.3 of the Tebex Terms.
2. Send by recorded delivery and keep your postal receipt as proof of notification.
3. Follow up with an email to [email protected] noting the registered letter was sent.

Mobile apps - iOS and Android

1. Do not attempt to cancel via the App Store or Google Play - Tebex cancellations are web or email based.

1. No public phone channel is published for cancellations; use web, email or registered post.

Cooling-off - you changed your mind

Rule - For contracts concluded at a distance, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 gives a 14 day cancellation right for digital content unless the consumer gave express consent to immediate supply. If you start downloading digital content immediately after purchase with express consent, the right ends on that moment. To exercise this right inform Tebex in writing by email.

Required proof - order ID, purchase date, your email and a written statement of withdrawal sent to [email protected]. Law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Price increase

Rule - If a paid plan price increases and the contract permits unilateral price changes, you may be able to Cancel if the change is not part of the agreed terms or if the price increase is a significant variation. The CMA views hard-to-cancel auto-renewals or unclear change terms as potentially unfair.

Required proof - notification of price increase from Tebex, your subscription details and a dated request to Cancel. Escalation: Citizens Advice or Trading Standards can assist.

Death of subscriber

Rule - Contracts end when the service cannot be performed due to death. Provide proof to Tebex for account closure or to stop billing.

Required proof - death certificate and account identifiers sent to [email protected]; include proof of right to act if you are an executor.

Legitimate ground - breach of contract or defective service

Rule - Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. If Tebex fails to deliver a paid service as described you can request remedy or Cancel and request refund.

End of commitment or subscription term

Rule - When a paid period ends, Cancel before renewal to avoid next period charges. For Plus monthly billing, Cancel via Control Panel or subscription email before the next renewal date. Required proof - cancellation confirmation email or account change showing plan downgrade.

Before you Cancel - negotiate

Tebex does not publish standard retention offers in public sources. To request a retention offer contact support at [email protected] or via the Control Panel and ask if a temporary discount or account credit can be applied to your Plus plan. If you are a creator explain revenue, expected sales and ask for a Plus trial extension or manual adjustment.

What cancelling saves - concrete math

If you pay the Plus plan monthly at £12.49, annual cost equals 12 x £12.49 = £149.88 per year. If you pay the Plus plan annually at £119.90 the billed amount is £119.90 per year. Savings by Cancelling Plus and using Starter: monthly bill saved = £12.49, yearly saved = £149.88.

Cheapest competitor example - Fynix at £10 per month equals 12 x £10 = £120 per year. Switching from Tebex Plus monthly to Fynix monthly saves £149.88 - £120.00 = £29.88 per year. Switching from Tebex Plus annual £119.90 to Fynix monthly yields £120.00 - £119.90 = £0.10 difference.

Key UK consumer law

The two key protections are the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 No. 3134. These require services to be performed with reasonable care and give a 14 day cooling-off right for distance contracts where digital content exception does not apply.

Cooling-off and refunds

If you withdraw within the 14 day period you must inform the trader and the trader must reimburse payments without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after notification. For digital content the right ends once the download or streaming starts with your prior consent. See Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Auto-renewal and unfair terms

The Competition and Markets Authority treats hard-to-cancel subscriptions or unclear auto-renewal terms as potential unfair practices. If Tebex uses auto-renewal, you must be able to Cancel easily via web or email.

Escalation steps

1. Complain to Tebex by email and keep records. 2. Contact Citizens Advice or Trading Standards for guidance. 3. Ask your card issuer for chargeback or Section 75 remedy if the purchase was made by credit card and qualifies. 4. If a regulated ombudsman is relevant, follow their process.

Check access and downloads

Verify whether digital items remain accessible after cancellation. For purchases that are licences to use virtual items, access may continue depending on the seller and the delivery method. Save any required files or keys immediately after purchase.

Final billing and refunds

If a refund applies, Tebex will reimburse payments received without undue delay and no later than 14 days from being informed, using the same method of payment unless otherwise agreed. For creator refunds use Payments > locate transaction > Refund. PayPal refunds over 180 days cannot be processed via the Tebex control panel.

Data and account re-activation

Request deletion or retention of your account data by emailing [email protected]. If you later re-activate, billing resumes when you re-subscribe or upgrade the plan in Control Panel.

Follow this checklist to make sure your cancellation is clean and documented.

• Locate the Tebex subscription email and click the cancel button or log into your account.
• If you are a creator, downgrade from Plus to Starter in Settings > Billing > Plans.
• Take screenshots of cancellation confirmations and save confirmation emails.
• Record the cancellation date and the next renewal date to ensure no further charges.
