Overview

F45 is a franchise network of group fitness studios focused on HIIT, circuit and functional training classes led by instructors. Classes are designed to be high intensity, 45 minutes long and follow standardised session programming so members can expect similar sessions across participating studios.

How the franchise works

Local F45 studios operate under franchise agreements. Membership contracts, pricing and customer service are handled by the local studio where you sign up. Headquarters and brand support are provided by the parent company in the United States.

Web / Studio portal

1. Log in to your studio account on the studio website or the F45 member portal if available.
2. Locate membership or billing settings and look for 'cancel', 'freeze' or 'contact studio'.
3. If the portal does not allow cancellation, follow the studio contact instructions in the portal and submit a written request.
4. Save any confirmation message or screenshot as proof.

iOS / Android app (classes vs memberships)

1. Open the F45 app and sign in.
2. To cancel a booked class, find the class in your bookings and tap 'cancel'.
3. To cancel a membership you must contact your local studio; use the app-studio contact details to email or call the studio.
4. Keep the in-app record or screenshot and any studio reply.

Phone

1. Find your studio phone number on your membership paperwork or the studio listing.
2. Call and request cancellation; state the date you want cancellation to take effect and mention your notice period (typically 30 days).
3. Ask the studio to email a written confirmation within 5 business days.
4. If no email arrives, follow up by email or post with the same request and keep call notes (date, time, agent name).

Email

1. Email the local studio address with your full name, membership ID, date of birth and membership start date.
2. Write a clear subject line: "Membership cancellation request - [Your Name]" and request a written confirmation of the cancellation date.
3. Save the sent email and any reply as proof. If no reply after 10 business days, send a registered letter.

Post (registered letter)

1. Prepare a signed letter with your membership details, statement of intent to cancel and the requested end date, plus a copy of your membership contract if available.

3. Keep the postal receipt and wait for studio acknowledgement, typically within 5 to 10 business days.

Moving (relocation beyond a set distance)

Rule: Some F45 local contracts allow cancellation for relocation when you move more than a studio-specified distance (often 25 or 30 miles). Required proof: a utility bill, tenancy agreement or evidence of new address showing relocation date. Action: send the proof and cancellation request to your studio in writing. Price increase

Cooling-off period (distance or off-premises contracts)

How to ask: contact your studio and request a retention offer in writing. Script: "I want to cancel my membership. Before I do, do you offer a freeze, discount or reduced-rate plan? If you can provide a written proposal I will review it." Ask for the exact new monthly price, duration and any minimum term in writing.

What cancellation saves (examples and alternatives)

F45 studio plan prices are not published centrally. Compare the cheapest competitor annual costs to estimate savings by switching. Calculation examples:
