Cancel PF+ (iOS - App Store)

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
3. Find PF+ or Planet Fitness in the list and tap Cancel Subscription.
4. Keep the App Store confirmation or screenshot as proof. Access continues until the end of the current App Store billing cycle; cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to prevent a further charge.

Cancel PF+ (Android - Google Play)

1. Open Google Play Store and tap your avatar, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
2. Select PF+ or Planet Fitness and tap Cancel subscription.
3. Save the Google Play cancellation confirmation. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Cancel gym membership (Post)

1. Write a signed cancellation letter including your full name, membership number, address, and clear statement: "I request cancellation of my Planet Fitness membership effective immediately."
2. Send as a tracked/registered international letter to: Planet Fitness, 4 Liberty Lane West, 03842 Hampton, United States.
3. Ensure the letter arrives by the 10th of the month to avoid the next month charge. Retain proof of delivery and the sent letter copy.

When channels are not allowed

Planet Fitness does not publish online, phone, or email as accepted channels for cancelling a gym membership; the accepted physical route is a posted, signed cancellation letter that arrives by the 10th. Moving / Relocation

Rule: Planet Fitness may accept waiver of a Black Card buyout or allow cancellation if you relocate more than 25 miles from any Planet Fitness location. Required proof: proof of new address such as a utility bill, signed lease, or government-issued ID showing the new address. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 on unfair contract terms if a penalty is disproportionate.

Price increase

Rule: If Planet Fitness raises the membership price mid-contract, you can ask to terminate the contract if the price rise is not in the original contract terms or was not clearly disclosed. Rule: Research identifies two legitimate grounds Planet Fitness may accept for waiving buyouts - relocating more than 25 miles from any club and medical conditions preventing gym use. End of commitment (Black Card)

Rule: Black Card memberships include a 12-month minimum commitment. After the initial 12 months the contract converts to month-to-month and can be cancelled following the standard process. Cooling-off right (distance contracts)

Rule: If you signed the membership contract online, by phone, or off-premises, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 grant a 14-day statutory cooling-off right.
