Web (Tomplay website)

1. Open the Tomplay website and sign in to your account.
2. Go to My account then My subscription then Manage my subscription. For the official support article see Tomplay Terms and Conditions.
3. Follow the on-screen option to cancel auto-renewal or change plan.
4. Save or screenshot the confirmation page; keep any confirmation email.

iOS (Apple App Store)

1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name.
2. Tap Subscriptions, find Tomplay and select Cancel Subscription.

Android (Google Play)

1. Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile icon.
2. Tap Payments and subscriptions then Subscriptions. Choose Tomplay and Cancel subscription.
3. Keep the Google Play cancellation confirmation email.

Phone

1. Tomplay’s official sources do not publish a cancellation phone number.
2. If you have a phone number supplied in an invoice, use it to ask for written confirmation; otherwise use the web or post methods listed here.

Email

1. Tomplay does not publish a dedicated cancellation email address in its public terms.
2. If an email contact exists on your account invoice, send a clear statement that you wish to cancel and keep the sent message and any reply.

Post (registered letter)

1. Write a clear statement: your full name, account email, date of birth (if requested by Tomplay), and a sentence cancelling your subscription.
2. Send it by registered post to: Tomplay, 72 Hammersmith Road, W14 8TH London, United Kingdom.
3. Keep the postal receipt and delivery confirmation as proof.

Moving abroad or relocation

Tomplay does not publish a relocation cancellation policy in its public terms. If you need cancellation due to permanent relocation, provide proof such as utility bills or a new residence registration and notify Tomplay in writing. If purchased through Apple or Google, cancel via those stores immediately.

Price increase

If Tomplay increases the price, check your contract and the renewal notice. Under UK law a renewal cooling-off notice must be provided on the first day of each renewal cooling-off period or as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter: see Subscription Contracts (c.13 2024) - cooling-off rights. If the price increase is significant you can notify cancellation with a clear statement and keep any notice of the increase as evidence.

Death of subscriber

For cancellation after a subscriber’s death, send a copy of the death certificate and the account holder’s details in writing to Tomplay’s support channel or use the registered postal address. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires reasonable care in service handling; ask Tomplay for account closure confirmation in writing.

Legitimate grounds and acceptable reasons

Tomplay’s public terms do not list specific acceptable grounds beyond standard legal rights. For issues where the service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies. Gather relevant evidence such as screenshots, dates, and correspondence. For digital content, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 limit withdrawal if performance starts with express consent and you lost the right of withdrawal.

End of commitment

If you are on an annual plan, the contract is billed for 12 months. Cancel before the renewal date to prevent the next billing. Cancelling during an active paid period retains access until the end of that paid period.

Cooling-off period

The Subscription Contracts (2024) confirm a consumer right to cancel during an initial cooling-off period and any renewal cooling-off period. A cancellation is made by notifying the trader with a clear statement; the contract is cancelled from the time the notification is given. See the statutory text.

Before you cancel: negotiate

Research and user reports do not show documented retention offers from Tomplay. If you want to keep the subscription, ask Tomplay support (via the account message form) for a discount or switch to an annual plan. If your subscription was bought through Apple or Google, contact their support to ask about offers or plan changes available through the store.

What cancelling saves you

Compute your yearly cost with current Tomplay prices:

Monthly Premium: £12.99 x 12 = £155.88 per year.

Annual Premium: £97.99 billed once per year.

Yearly saving by switching from monthly to annual: £155.88 - £97.99 = £57.89.

Teacher/Student monthly: £6.99 x 12 = £83.88 per year. If you are eligible for Teacher/Student you save compared with the standard monthly: £155.88 - £83.88 = £72.00 per year.

Third-party promotional offer (via a third party listing) shows an initial promotional price of £0.79 for 48 hours then £43.12 per month; that price equals £43.12 x 12 = £517.44 per year if kept, so cancelling such third-party subscriptions can save significant amounts.

Cheapest alternative (sheet music access): using individual interactive sheet music purchases is the lowest-cost route if you only need a few scores. Tomplay lists interactive sheet music for purchase; prices vary. Consider buying single scores instead of subscribing if you need fewer than the number of pieces that justify a yearly fee.

UK consumer law that applies

Auto-renewal and unfair terms

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) treats hard-to-cancel subscriptions and unclear auto-renewal terms as potential unfair practices. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 prohibits disproportionate cancellation penalties.

How to escalate

First, complain in writing to Tomplay (account message form or registered post). If unresolved, contact Citizens Advice for guidance and consider chargeback or Section 75 with your card issuer for qualifying transactions. If the issue concerns misrepresentation or service quality, cite the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Access after cancellation

After you cancel, Tomplay states you will retain access until the end of the current billing period. Keep a copy of any confirmation and the date your access will end.

Data and account

If you want your account deleted, request account deletion in writing or via the account page. Keep copies of deletion confirmations. If Tomplay does not publish a direct deletion route, use the registered postal address or the account support message form.

Final billing and refunds

Tomplay’s public terms state payments are non-refundable and do not provide refunds or credits for partial-month membership periods or unused content. If you believe a refund is owed under UK law (for example incorrect billing), contact Tomplay and, if necessary, your card issuer for chargeback or Section 75 where applicable.
