Cancel Dobbies Club the easy way

Overview

Dobbies Club is the customer loyalty programme run by Dobbies Garden Centres. There are two tiers: the free Dobbies Club that collects points and issues vouchers, and Dobbies Club Plus, a paid annual upgrade that adds extra discounts and benefits.

Primary benefits

Dobbies Club awards 1 point for every £1 spent on the free tier. Dobbies Club Plus members receive 2 points per £1, 10% off plants, bulbs and seeds, two free hot drinks each month and priority booking for events.

Who should join

Gardeners and home-decor shoppers who visit Dobbies regularly and value small annual perks should consider Club Plus; casual shoppers will usually get value from the free Club account.

Web (recommended)

1. Go to https://dobbies.com and sign in to your account.
2. Open the Dobbies Club section and choose Manage my account.
3. Select Cancel or End Club Plus membership and follow on-screen confirmation.
4. Keep a screenshot of the confirmation and the account page showing the updated membership status.

iOS / Android

1. Open the Dobbies app or use the mobile browser at dobbies.com and sign in.
2. Navigate to Dobbies Club or Account > Memberships.
3. Choose Cancel Club Plus or Cancel free trial and confirm the action.
4. Save any confirmation displayed and check your account page for the membership state.

Cooling-off period (distance sales)

If you joined Club Plus online or by distance selling you have a statutory 14-day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To exercise it, tell Dobbies you cancel within 14 days starting the day after the contract conclusion. If you requested immediate performance (for example immediate delivery of digital content) you may lose the right to a refund for the portion already provided. End of commitment or voluntary cancellation

Dobbies states you can cancel Club Plus at any time; benefits remain until the end of your paid period. Free trial expiry and trial cancellation

If you used a free trial you must cancel at least 7 days before the trial expiry to avoid being charged. Required proof: your trial registration email and the temporary card number used to register, plus any cancellation confirmation. If you cannot supply these, contact customer services for help.

Price increase

If Dobbies applies a price increase where your contract allows you to terminate, you may have a right to end the contract. Required proof: communication from Dobbies announcing the price change and your membership details. Death of subscriber

In the event of the subscriber's death, a representative can cancel the membership. Before you cancel: try negotiating

Dobbies may offer retention incentives in some cases, but there is no public list of standard retention offers in the available documentation. When you call or write, state your membership email, explain why you are leaving and ask whether a discount, extension or promo code is available. Keep any offer in writing before you accept it.

Final billing and refunds

If you cancelled within the 14-day cooling-off period and are due a refund, request it in writing and keep the response. For cancellations outside the 14-day period refunds are governed by your membership terms; Dobbies states cancelling stops future renewals but benefits remain until the end of the current paid period.

Data and reactivation

Your account details and earned points may remain on file. To re-activate Club Plus later you can re-subscribe via your account. If you want personal data deletion, request it via Dobbies' contact channels and quote data protection rights.
