Cooling-off (first 14 days)

If you bought a BeenVerified subscription online, you have a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To exercise it, notify BeenVerified within 14 days of the contract date by using the web cancellation, email or post options. No penalty is permitted for cancelling during the cooling-off period. Price increase

If BeenVerified increases the subscription price during your active term, review your contract terms. If the increase was applied without proper notice or without your consent at renewal, you can cancel and request a refund for future charges. Provide the original plan details and billing statements as proof. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 protects against unfair contract terms.

Moving abroad or relocation

Relocation is not listed as a special cancellation ground by BeenVerified. To cancel for relocation, use the standard cancellation channels and provide proof of new permanent address if you seek goodwill refund consideration. BeenVerified's policy on goodwill refunds is not published; refunds are decided case-by-case.

Death of subscriber

To cancel after a subscriber's death, contact BeenVerified by email at [email protected] or by post. Provide a copy of the death certificate and the membership ID or the email used to sign up. BeenVerified processes refunds case-by-case; keep evidence for any dispute.

Legitimate ground / Faulty service

If BeenVerified fails to provide services with reasonable care and skill, you can request remediation or termination under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Part 1. Provide examples of failed searches or incorrect results and request a partial or full refund. Keep email exchanges and timestamps.

End of commitment

If your plan had a fixed period, cancellation is effective at the period end once you notify BeenVerified. If automatic renewal applies, cancel before renewal date to prevent the next billing. Cancellation is effective upon notification; the trader must not charge beyond the active period without consent.

Before you cancel - negotiate

BeenVerified does not publish standard retention offers. To request a cheaper rate, contact support via email or chat and ask for a retention discount or a downgraded plan. Provide your membership ID and the exact cancellation reason. If you are on an iOS or Android subscription, you may need to cancel the store subscription and then request a promotional re-subscription via the app store.
