Deepstash is developed by Smartheads Inc., founded in 2019 by Dan Ciotu, Cristian Mezei and Vladimir Oane. Headquarters are in Newark, United States.

How it is sold

Deepstash offers a free tier and paid subscription plans branded Deepstash Pro. Subscriptions can be bought via mobile app stores and via the web. See the official terms at Deepstash Terms of Service.

Web cancellation

1. Go to https://deepstash.com/.
2. Log in with the account credentials used to subscribe.
3. Open Account or Settings, find Subscriptions or Billing.
4. Choose Cancel subscription or Delete account and confirm.
5. Save a screenshot of the cancellation screen and keep any confirmation email.

iOS cancellation (Apple App Store)

1. Open the App Store app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your Apple ID avatar, then Subscriptions.
3. Select Deepstash from the list and tap Cancel Subscription.
4. Keep the Apple confirmation email or a screenshot as proof.

Android cancellation (Google Play)

1. Open Google Play Store on your Android device.
2. Tap Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
3. Select Deepstash and press Cancel subscription.
4. Keep the Google Play confirmation email or a screenshot as proof.

Email cancellation

1. Compose an email to [email protected] from the address on file.
2. Include your full name, account email, subscription plan and a clear request: "Please cancel my Deepstash subscription and confirm cancellation by email."
3. Attach a screenshot of your account page if available.
4. Save the sent email and any reply as proof.

Postal cancellation (registered letter)

1. Write a signed letter including your name, account email, subscription details and the request to cancel.
2. Send the letter by registered post to Deepstash, Str. Vasile Lascar 108, 020507 Bucuresti, Romania.
3. Keep the proof of postage and any delivery receipt.

Phone

1. Deepstash does not publish phone support. Use email, app store controls or registered post as above.

Moving abroad or change of residence

If you move, you may cancel your subscription by sending a clear statement to Deepstash and evidence such as a new address document or utility bill. Deepstash terms allow stopping future charges after cancellation. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for online contracts and cancellations.

Price increase

If Deepstash increases the subscription price during an ongoing contract, you can cancel if the price change was not agreed in the original contract. Provide the original terms and the notification of increase. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 for unfair contract terms and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 renewal protections.

Death of subscriber

Estate representatives may cancel by emailing [email protected] and attaching proof such as a death certificate and proof of estate representation. Contracts end on cancellation; request confirmation of account closure and cessation of future charges.

Legitimate grounds - service not provided with reasonable care and skill

If Deepstash fails to deliver the service with reasonable care and skill, you may cancel and seek a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Evidence required: screenshots showing failures, dates of issues, correspondence with support. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015.

End of commitment

If your paid period ends and you do not want renewal, cancel before the renewal date using App Store, Google Play or web settings. Proof: cancellation confirmation or screenshots showing "Auto-Renewal Off."

Cooling-off period

For UK consumers buying online, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 gives a 14-day cooling-off period for most online contracts. If you cancel within 14 days and you have not expressly consented to immediate performance, you are entitled to a refund. If you consented to immediate digital delivery, the right to a full refund may be limited. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Before you cancel - how to negotiate with Deepstash

Deepstash has no documented standard retention offers. Research notes show that some customers received refunds after persistent communication and posting public complaints. To request a retention offer or refund:

1. Email [email protected] with subject "Retention request - cancel pending" and include account email, last four digits of the card used and subscription date.
2. State a clear request: refundable amount or a discounted plan offer and a deadline for reply (for example 7 calendar days).
3. If there is no reply, escalate by replying to the original message with screenshots of your request and a polite statement that you will seek chargeback or file a complaint if unresolved.

Key UK consumer law

Contracts for digital services are governed by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Cooling-off rights and refunds

The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 grants a 14-day cooling-off right for most online purchases with a refund. If you agreed to immediate digital delivery, rights differ and a refund may be limited. Deepstash states "All fees are, except as expressly provided by applicable law, non-refundable." This does not remove statutory rights under UK law.
