Web cancellation (recommended for accounts bought on docusign.com)

1. Sign in at your DocuSign account using an administrator login.
2. Click Admin from the top navigation bar.
3. Under ACCOUNT choose Plan and Billing.
4. Scroll to Manage Your Subscription and select Cancel Plan.
5. Provide the reason, review the options shown, and confirm cancellation.
6. Keep the on-screen confirmation and confirmation email for your records.

iOS and Android

1. Open the DocuSign mobile app or sign in through a mobile browser.
2. If you are an administrator, follow the same Admin > Plan and Billing path as on desktop when available.
3. If the mobile app does not show cancellation options, sign in on a desktop browser or contact support.

Phone

1. DocuSign does not publish a general customer-facing phone number for cancellations; enterprise customers and those with a sales representative should contact their account team.
2. If you have a sales contact, request written confirmation of cancellation and any refund eligibility.

Cooling-off (right to cancel after online purchase)

UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for most online purchases. If you cancel within that period you are entitled to a refund, unless you gave express consent for immediate supply of digital content and lost the right once supply started. Risk-free / trial refund windows published by DocuSign

DocuSign allows a one-time 'Risk-Free' refund if an annual plan is cancelled within 30 days of purchase. For monthly plans a refund may be requested up to 7 days after signup, except in the European Union and Brazil where monthly plans are not eligible for refunds. Price increase or changes to the service

If a subscription is renewed and the trader imposes a unilateral price increase at renewal, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 gives a right to cancel during the renewal cooling-off period. DocuSign must provide a renewal cooling-off notice where required. Keep the notice and cancel within the stated renewal cooling-off window. Death of the subscriber

DocuSign does not publish a specific death policy in its public help pages. If the account holder is deceased, contact DocuSign support or the account sales representative with a copy of the death certificate and proof of authority to act for the estate. DocuSign acceptance of such proof is not published; preserve all documents and request written confirmation.

Moving / change of circumstances

DocuSign does not publish a policy that moving address or business location is an automatic ground for contract termination. Present documentary proof (for example, a new registered business address) and request cancellation or account transfer; DocuSign review is not publicly specified.

End of commitment or fixed-term contracts

If you are in a contracted initial term bought through a Sales representative, DocuSign states those accounts cannot be cancelled online and cannot be cancelled while in their contracted term. Before you cancel: negotiate

DocuSign account administrators who cancel via the web will be shown retention options during the cancellation flow. There is no public list of specific retention offers available from DocuSign. If you want to negotiate, contact your account representative or support and request a retention offer in writing. Use a short script: state your current plan, desired price or feature set, the reason for leaving, and ask for a written counter-offer with duration and exact price.

Key UK consumer law

The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 provides cooling-off rights for subscription renewals and requires renewal cooling-off notices. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give a 14-day cancellation right for most online contracts. DocuSign processes refunds to the original payment method. Annual plans may be eligible for a refund if cancelled within 30 days of purchase under DocuSign 'Risk-Free' terms. Monthly plans may be eligible up to 7 days after signup unless you are in the EU or Brazil where monthly plans are not eligible for refunds. Escalation steps

If DocuSign refuses a lawful cancellation or refund, escalate in this order: 1) Complain to DocuSign in writing and keep evidence. 2) Seek advice from Citizens Advice. 3) Use card chargeback or Section 75 claim if the payment qualifies. 4) Complain to an appropriate ombudsman if relevant. Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) action can be referenced for hard-to-cancel subscriptions.

Check access and saved documents

After cancellation you should download any documents you need. DocuSign does not publish an exact retention period after cancellation; keep local copies immediately. Verify that templates and envelopes you require are exported before the account changes.

Final billing and refunds

If eligible for a refund, DocuSign reviews the request against plan type and timing. Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Annual plan refund requests must be made within 30 days of the subscription start date for the initial term to be considered for a 'Risk-Free' refund. Re-activation and data

If you later re-activate, verify whether your previous documents and templates are preserved. DocuSign does not publish a universal automatic data retention promise after cancellation. Follow this checklist before and after you cancel to protect your documents and payments.
