Cooling-off (change of mind within 14 days)
Rule: Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from receiving goods to cancel most online or off-premises purchases and obtain a refund.
Required proof documents: order number, receipt of purchase, date of delivery, statement of cancellation, and return of goods in reasonable condition if applicable. To start the process use Hive support or the cancellation form referenced in Hive terms.

Faulty goods or not as described
Rule: Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. You can request a refund within 30 days for faulty items. Up to six months, if a fault appears and cannot be repaired or replaced, you may be entitled to a full refund in most cases. Up to six years, you may be entitled to repair, replacement or reduction of price.
Required proof documents: proof of purchase, photos or diagnostics showing the fault, and correspondence with Hive support. If asked, use proof of attempted repair or replacement.
Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Delivery failure (product not delivered within 30 days)
Rule: If Hive fails to deliver a product within 30 days of order you can cancel and get a full refund per Hive terms.
Required proof documents: order number and evidence of original estimated delivery. Cite the delivery date and request a refund through Hive support.
Cancellation after installation (equipment installed before cancellation)
Rule: If installation occurred before you cancelled during the 14-day cooling-off period, Hive may charge reasonable costs for work carried out before cancellation for Hive Active Heating and similar installations.
Required proof documents: photos of installation, invoice for installation, order and cancellation dates.
Cancel due to price increase
Rule: If a subscription price increases during an active contract and Hive’s terms allow cancellation for price increases, you should receive notice and an option to cancel. Check the Hive terms and request cancellation if offered.
Required proof documents: notice of price increase from Hive and your account information. If the increase results in a materially different contract, cite the notice and ask for cancellation.
Death of subscriber
Rule: A subscriber s estate or authorised representative can request cancellation. Provide proof of death and relationship plus account information to Hive support.
Required proof documents: death certificate, identification of estate representative, account evidence.
