App store cancellations - exact steps

1. For iOS: Open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Find the ISM subscription and choose Cancel Subscription. Save a screenshot showing "Subscription cancelled" or an end date.
2. For Android: Open Google Play Store > Menu > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions. Select the ISM subscription and Cancel. Save a screenshot of the cancellation confirmation.

Direct Debit - exact steps

1. Contact your bank to cancel the Direct Debit instruction if you want to stop future payments, but send written notice to ISM that you do not intend to renew and that you are cancelling the Direct Debit.
2. Be aware ISM's terms state that if direct debit payments are cancelled midway through membership, the member remains liable for the remaining balance for the year.

End of minimum commitment (12 months)

Rule: Memberships run for a minimum 12-month period. To cancel membership at the end of the 12-month period, you must send written notice at least one calendar month before the expiry date. Rule: Members may cancel within 14 days of first paying the membership fee. A full refund, less a £5.00 administration fee, will be provided if no membership benefits have been taken during those 14 days. Required proof: proof of first payment date and statement that no benefits were used. Exceptions: The right does not apply to individuals who have previously held an ISM membership. Price increase

Key UK consumer laws

Your cancellation rights in the UK are protected by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
