Overview

Keepsafe is a mobile application that provides a private photo vault and secure cloud storage for photos, videos and documents. The app offers a free tier and a Premium subscription that adds cloud backup, vault expansion and anti-intrusion features.

Core features

Keepsafe Basic offers local vault features such as PIN lock, fingerprint or Touch ID and basic storage. Keepsafe Premium extends storage limits, adds restore-deleted-files, break-in tracking, trash recovery, album lock and other privacy features.

How Keepsafe is sold

iOS - Cancel via Apple App Store

1. On your iPhone or iPad open Settings.
2. Tap your name at the top.
3. Tap Subscriptions.
4. Find Keepsafe Premium in the list and tap Cancel Subscription.
5. Keep a screenshot of the cancellation confirmation page for your records.

Android - Cancel via Google Play

1. Open the Google Play Store app on the device linked to the purchase.
2. Tap your profile picture, then tap Payments and subscriptions.
3. Tap Subscriptions and find Keepsafe Premium.
4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow on-screen prompts.
5. Save a screenshot showing the subscription status changed to Cancelled.

Email - Contact Keepsafe support

1. Send an email to [email protected] with your account email, purchase receipt and request.
2. State that you purchased via Apple or Google and include the purchase date.
3. Keep the reply email as proof. Refund requests may be assessed under the refund policy.

Post - Registered letter

1. Prepare a signed letter with your account email, device used, purchase date and explicit request to Cancel the subscription.
2. Send by registered post to Keepsafe, Friarton Road, PH2 8BB Perth, United Kingdom.
3. Keep the postal receipt as proof of sending.

Cooling-off period (first 14 days)

Rule: For individual consumers in Europe, you have a 14 day cooling-off period after the first purchase during which you can cancel and obtain a refund if you withdraw. Keepsafe confirms this right for European consumers. If you cancel during the 14 days and you used the service during that period, Keepsafe may prorate any reimbursed sum to reflect usage.

End of commitment / subscription expiry

Rule: Cancelling before the renewal stops the auto-renewal immediately; you retain Premium access until the expiry date stated by Apple or Google. Keepsafe states access continues until subscription expires.

Price increase

Death of the subscriber

UK consumer law that applies

The key UK laws and regulator relevant to digital subscriptions are the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) enforces rules against unfair contract terms and hard-to-cancel subscriptions.

Your rights and remedies

Check access and billing

After cancelling via Apple or Google the auto-renewal is disabled immediately; you keep Premium access until the expiry date. Verify the subscription status in the App Store or Google Play and keep screenshots showing the cancelled status and expiry date.

Protect and export your data

If you plan to stop using the app or delete it, export any photos, videos and documents you want to keep before deleting your account. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription and does not necessarily delete cloud-stored content; export locally and confirm removal if required.

Re-activation and refunds

Re-activation: You can re-subscribe through the App Store or Google Play. Refunds: Outside the 14 day cooling-off window, Keepsafe generally does not offer refunds, but will consider prorated refunds or reductions when the Service is non-compliant.
