Web - cancel from your account

1. Log in to your LiveCareer account.
2. Open Settings or Account menu.
3. Choose 'Cancel Subscription'.
4. Scroll to 'Yes, Cancel My Account'.
5. Select the checkbox 'I understand I will lose access to my saved resumes and cover letter but still want to cancel'.
6. Click the final cancellation button and record the on-screen confirmation or request a confirmation email.

Email - cancel by message

1. Compose an email to [email protected] with subject 'Cancellation of contract'.
2. Include your full name, email address for the account, last four digits of the card used and date of last payment.
3. Write a clear statement: 'I wish to cancel my LiveCareer subscription and stop future billing.'
4. Send the email and keep a copy; request written confirmation of cancellation.

Phone / Chat - cancel by contact

1. Use the contact methods listed on the LiveCareer site to find phone or chat (LiveCareer does not publish a dedicated phone number for UK cancellations).
2. Ask the agent to cancel your subscription and to send a confirmation email.
3. If the agent refuses, record date/time and again request a written acknowledgement.

Postal letter - cancel by registered post

1. Write a 'Cancellation of contract' notice referencing clause 28 of the terms of service.

Moving - change of residence

LiveCareer UK does not publish a specific policy for cancellation due to moving. You can cancel via your account or by email to [email protected] and provide proof of address change if requested. Price increase

Death of subscriber

Cooling-off (14 day withdrawal)

For contracts made at a distance you have a 14-day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Example saving by cancelling the rolling plan entirely and using an alternative competitor: My CV Buddy at £2.99 per month is £2.99 x 12 = £35.88 per year. If you cancel the LiveCareer rolling price of £258.05 and switch to My CV Buddy you save £258.05 - £35.88 = £222.17 per year.

How to escalate if LiveCareer will not cancel

Final billing and refunds

If you cancel during a billing period, LiveCareer states the subscription remains active until the end of that billing period and subscription charges for the remaining part of the billing period are not refundable unless required by law. If you cancelled within the 14-day cooling-off period you can request a refund. To request a refund, email [email protected] with 'Refund request' and attach proof of cancellation and payment receipts.

Re-activation

To re-activate a cancelled account log in and choose a plan. If you re-subscribe, check whether any promotional trial offers apply and confirm the billing schedule before accepting.
