Cancel Miro the easy way

Overview

Miro is an online collaborative whiteboard platform for teams to brainstorm, plan and prototype. It supports realtime collaboration, templates, integrations with development and productivity tools, and AI-assisted features.

Who uses Miro

Miro targets cross-functional and distributed teams including designers, agile coaches, product managers, marketers and engineering teams. Organisations use Miro for workshops, retrospectives, user-journey mapping and early-stage prototyping.

Miro combines an extensive template library, third-party integrations and facilitation features for guided workshops. Miro reports 100 million monthly active users and focuses on enterprise security for large teams.

Web (best method)

1. Sign in to Miro and switch to the team that holds the paid subscription.
2. Open the profile menu and go to Team settings.
3. Click Billing.
4. Scroll to the bottom and click Cancel subscription.
5. Click Continue to cancel, select a reason, click Cancel subscription again.
6. Click End subscription now and confirm "Continue with the immediate subscription cancellation" to end immediately.
7. Save or screenshot the confirmation screen and any confirmation email.

iOS - Apple App Store

1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your profile icon, then Subscriptions.
3. Find Miro and tap Cancel Subscription.
4. Keep the Apple receipt as proof of cancellation or refund steps.

Android - Google Play

1. Open Google Play Store.
2. Tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions.
3. Select Miro and tap Cancel subscription.
4. Keep the Google Play receipt as proof.

1. Open Miro Cancel your subscription or the billing help pages.
2. Create a support request describing the team, plan and billing email.
3. Attach screenshots and request written confirmation of cancellation or refund.

Cooling-off period (change of mind within 14 days)

UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period for contracts concluded online under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you cancel within 14 days you are entitled to a full refund unless you gave express consent for immediate performance of digital services. Price increase

If Miro increases the price during a subscription term the contract terms determine your rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a price increase clause that creates a disproportionate penalty may be unenforceable. Send Miro a written dispute, quote the original plan and request a change or termination. If Miro does not provide lawful notice, the cancellation period can be extended under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Moving abroad

Moving location is not an automatic contractual ground for termination in Miro published docs. Provide proof of change of address if you need contract amendment. Death of the subscriber

Death of the account holder requires contact with Miro support and proof such as a death certificate and proof of authority to act on behalf of the estate. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies to disputes about unfair terms or penalties when closing the account.

End of commitment or plan change

Switch to a different plan in Team settings or cancel at the end of the billing period. Enterprise contracts may include minimum user counts; Enterprise requires at least 30 members as published.

Before you cancel: negotiate

Research does not report standard retention discounts or automatic downgrade offers by Miro. If you prefer to keep the service, request a downgrade or temporary pause via the billing page or support ticket. Explain why you want to leave, list the features you do not use, and ask for a discounted annual rate or additional seats removed. Starter monthly: £8 x 12 = £96 per year. Starter annual (per-month equivalent): £6.50 x 12 = £78 per year.

Final billing and refunds

If your subscription was charged for the current period and you cancel after renewal, Miro states refunds or credits are generally not provided for already charged amounts. Re-activation

You can re-activate a team by purchasing a new plan in Team settings. Team content may be retained on free accounts but exporting critical work before cancellation avoids data loss.
