Cancel Paramount the easy way

Overview

Paramount+ is Paramount Global's direct-to-consumer streaming service offering films, television series, originals and select live TV content in the United Kingdom. The product commonly referred to as Paramount in consumer help documentation is the Paramount+ streaming subscription available on web, mobile and some third-party platforms.

Paramount+ plans include ad-supported and ad-free tiers, multiple concurrent streams on higher tiers, and access to a large on-demand library. Live TV carries adverts even on ad-free on-demand plans. Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled.

Web (Paramount+ account)

1. Open your web browser and go to https://www.paramountplus.com/gb/.
2. Sign in and go to Account or Account Settings.
3. Find Subscription or Manage Subscription and select Cancel Subscription.
4. Follow on-screen prompts; save or screenshot the cancellation confirmation and note the date.
5. Cancellation takes effect from the time you notify Paramount; you retain access until the end of your billing period.

iOS (Apple App Store)

1. Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
2. Find Paramount+ and select Cancel Subscription.
3. Keep the Apple cancellation confirmation email or screenshot the subscription status.
4. If you want to delete your Paramount account, cancel the subscription first via Apple; to request a refund, contact Apple directly because subscriptions billed by Apple are refunded by Apple.

Android (Google Play)

1. Open Google Play Store app, tap profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions.
2. Select Paramount+ and tap Cancel subscription.
3. Alternatively use payments.google.com to cancel from a browser.
4. Retain Google Play cancellation confirmation and any email from Google.

Third-party / TV provider (e.g. Sky)

1. If you subscribed via a third party, sign in to that third party account (for example Sky) and locate add-on or subscription management.
2. Follow their cancellation flow or contact their customer service for removal of Paramount+ from your package.
3. Paramount cannot cancel subscriptions started and billed by a third party; request refunds or changes from the third party.

Post (registered letter)

1. Write a clear cancellation statement including your account email, subscription plan, and the date you want cancellation to take effect (you may request immediate effect).
2. Send the letter by registered post to Paramount, Crown Way, CF14 3UZ Cardiff, United Kingdom and keep proof of postage and delivery.
3. Allow time for processing and retain delivery receipt as proof of notification.

Moving abroad

If you are moving permanently abroad and cannot access the UK service, provide proof such as a new permanent address registration, utility bill or immigration documentation. Cancellation will be accepted and take effect from the time you notify Paramount. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Price increase

If Paramount increases the price and you are within an ongoing contract, you have the right to cancel if the price increase was not agreed in your original terms. If Paramount discontinues part of the service and gives at least 30 days notice you are entitled to a refund for unused service. Death of the subscriber

To cancel after the account holder's death, supply a copy of the death certificate and proof of authority to act on the estate. Paramount's research notes that cancellations are processed and any remaining balances may be refunded where Paramount cancels or discontinues the service.

Legitimate grounds accepted by Paramount

Paramount accepts contract cancellation if the service is discontinued, if Paramount cancels the subscription, or under the statutory cooling-off rights. Provide documentary proof relevant to the ground claimed, for example service outage notices or provider communications.

End of commitment

There is no minimum commitment for standard Paramount+ monthly subscriptions. Cancellation may be done at any time and takes effect from notification; you keep access to the end of the paid billing period.

Cooling-off period

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online or off-premises contract. If you start streaming or downloading immediately and you expressly acknowledged you lose the right to a refund for the digital content consumed, you may lose the refund right but you retain the ability to cancel future renewals. Before you cancel: attempt retention

Research does not report specific widespread retention offers from Paramount for UK subscribers. If you want to ask for a saving, contact support via the official cancellation flow and request a retention offer. Suggested script: state your current plan, say you are considering cancelling for price reasons, and ask if they can offer a temporary discount, free trial extension or lower-tier price for 3 to 6 months. Save any offer in writing before accepting.

Your rights when cancelling a digital subscription in the United Kingdom are protected by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Confirm access and final billing

Save the on-screen cancellation confirmation or email. Note your last paid date and the date access will end. You will retain access until the end of your billing period after cancellation unless otherwise specified in communications from Paramount.

Data and account deletion

If you want your account deleted, cancel the subscription first and then follow any account deletion flow in Account Settings or contact Paramount support. If you subscribed via Apple or Google, you may need to delete the app-level account after canceling the store subscription. Keep records of deletion requests.

Reactivation and restarting

You can re-subscribe at any time. If you re-subscribe after cancellation you will be charged at the current rate for the plan you choose. Promotional rates available at initial sign-up may not be available on re-subscription.
