Moving abroad or relocation
If you permanently leave the UK and Ykards cannot continue to supply the closed-loop Mastercard service in your new country, state your move and attach proof: copy of new address, dated utility bill or tenancy agreement showing the new address, and a statement with the move date. Ykards does not publish a bespoke relocation policy; use the general support route and keep proof of ID and address.
Price increase
If Ykards increases the recurring fee and you wish to cancel because of the change, final terms depend on Ykards' communicated change. Provide the price increase notice (email or screenshot) and your cancellation request. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, contract terms that allow a unilateral, unfair price increase can be contestable. Escalate to Citizens Advice if Ykards enforces an unreasonable increase without clear prior notice.
Death of the subscriber
To close an account after the account holder dies, email [email protected] and provide a copy of the death certificate and proof of authority (executor or next of kin ID). Ykards does not publish a full death policy; keep both documents in the initial email and request written confirmation of closure.
Legitimate ground accepted by Ykards
Ykards accepts cancellation requests via the web form and [email protected]. For a money-back claim related to dissatisfaction with the first paid charge, Ykards requires an email within 30 days with account email, last 4 digits of the funding card, date and amount of payment, and a short description of dissatisfaction (see Money-Back Policy).
End of commitment
Membership renews automatically unless you cancel. If you decide not to continue, cancel before the next billing date by following the web form or emailing [email protected]. Keep the cancellation confirmation to avoid future charges.
Cooling-off period (14-day statutory right)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 UK residents have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract starting the day after the contract is concluded for services. If you cancel within this 14-day period Ykards must refund per the statute. If you asked for the service to start within the 14-day period and acknowledged losing the right, the trader can charge a proportion for service supplied.
