Overview

Zapier is a web-based automation platform that connects thousands of apps so actions in one app trigger actions in another without manual work. Companies use Zapier to build workflows called Zaps that run tasks on a schedule or when events happen.

Zapier targets businesses and professionals who want to automate repetitive tasks but have minimal to moderate technical knowledge. Zapier provides app integrations, webhooks and AI features to automate marketing, sales, operations and support workflows.

Company facts

Web - cancel in your Zapier account

1. Sign in to your account at zapier.com.
2. Open Settings and select Billing or navigate to the Billing section.
3. Select Manage Plan or Change Plan and choose Cancel Plan or Downgrade to Free.
4. Follow on-screen confirmations; you will receive an email confirmation.
5. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle; no further charges will be made unless you upgrade again.

iOS - cancel via Apple

1. If your Zapier subscription is billed by Apple, open the App Store on your iPhone.
2. Tap your account > Subscriptions > select the Zapier subscription > Cancel Subscription.
3. Keep the Apple confirmation as proof of cancellation.

Android - cancel via Google Play

1. If your Zapier subscription is billed by Google Play, open the Google Play Store app on your device.
2. Tap Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > select Zapier > Cancel subscription.
3. Keep the Google Play confirmation email as proof.

Support request (chat or web form)

1. Open Zapier Help at Get help and support with Zapier.
2. Use chat or submit a request explaining you want to cancel or change your plan. Include account email and last four digits of the payment method where possible.
3. Save the support ticket reference and any chat transcript.

Post - registered letter

1. Write a signed letter stating you wish to cancel your paid Zapier plan and include your account email and billing details.

Moving abroad or change of business location

If change of address affects your use, Zapier does not publish a special migration cancellation rule. You may cancel via your account or contact support to request assistance. Provide proof: recent utility bill or business address change document and your account email.

Price increase

Death of subscriber

Zapier has not published a specific bereavement policy. To cancel an account after a subscriber dies, contact Zapier Support and provide proof: death certificate and proof of authority, plus the account email. Keep the support ticket reference.

Legitimate ground - unacceptable service or breach

Zapier's published policy states that purchases are non-refundable. However, if Zapier materially fails to perform services with reasonable care and skill, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives the consumer remedies. To pursue cancellation and refund, gather evidence of the breach, communications showing failure, and ask support for remediation. If Zapier terminates the account without cause, Zapier may issue a prorated refund per its policy.

End of commitment

For monthly subscriptions there is no minimum commitment. For annual subscriptions the commitment is the 12 months already paid. Cancel in your account before the renewal date to prevent auto-renewal. Proof: cancellation confirmation and existing payment record.

Cooling-off period (initial purchase or renewal)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period for most online contracts starting from the contract conclusion date. If digital content or services begin with the consumer's express agreement and acknowledgement that they lose the cancellation right, the right may be extinguished. For renewals, the UK Parliament Act 2024 requires traders to provide a cooling-off notice at the first day of the renewal cooling-off period.

Zapier has limited public reports of retention discounts. Zapier does not publish general downgrade discounts; support can offer account-specific help such as downgrading to a lower task tier or moving from monthly to annual billing for a lower monthly equivalent. • Professional annual equivalent price £19.99 per month: £19.99 x 12 = £239.88 per year if you are on an annual Professional plan and cancel before renewal to avoid paying another year.
• Team monthly price £103.50: £103.50 x 12 = £1,242.00 per year saved by cancelling a monthly Team plan.

Cheapest real alternative from provided competitors: Softomate Solutions at £200 per month or £2,400 per year. Switching from a Zapier Team monthly at £103.50 to Softomate would cost an additional £1,158.00 per year (calculation: £2,400 - £1,242 = £1,158). After cancellation your account converts to the Free plan at the end of the paid term. Export any important Zaps, data or connected app credentials before the paid period ends. Final billing and refunds

Zapier states all purchases are considered non-refundable once processed. Exceptions in Zapier policy include a prorated refund if Zapier terminates an account without cause. Re-activation

You can re-activate a Zapier paid plan by signing in and upgrading at any time. No charges occur after cancellation unless you explicitly upgrade or reactivate the paid plan.
