Cancel Adblock the easy way

Overview

Adblock is a family of ad blocking products and extensions that remove or reduce online advertising, add privacy tools, and offer premium features such as a VPN and enhanced YouTube ad blocking. A free ad blocking version is available alongside paid Premium and Total Adblock plans.

Who uses it

People who want to block ads, reduce tracking, and customise their browsing experience choose Adblock. Paid plans add features such as cross-site blocking, a VPN, and multi-device licences.

Product types

Adblock is available as browser extensions, iOS apps for Safari, and bundled products such as Total Adblock with multi-device licences. Payment and refund handling can be through Adblock's payment processors or via the app stores when purchased on iOS or Android.

Web (recommended)

1. Go to the AdBlock account management page on the official help site or sign in at your AdBlock account.
2. Locate Subscriptions or Billing, then choose Cancel subscription. If your payment was handled by a processor such as Paddle, follow the link to that processor to cancel.
3. Keep the on-screen confirmation and any cancellation email as proof.
4. If you need a refund, email a copy of the receipt or a screenshot of the charge to [email protected].

iOS / Apple App Store

1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions, find AdBlock and tap Cancel Subscription.

Android / Google Play

1. Open Google Play, tap Profile, then Payments and Subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
2. Select Total Adblock or AdBlock and tap Cancel subscription.
3. Refund requests for Total Adblock purchased in the app store must be made via the store: Total Adblock refund page.

Email

1. Send an email to [email protected] with your receipt or a screenshot of the charge.
2. Include your account email, date of purchase, last 4 digits of the card, and a clear refund or cancellation request.
3. Allow response time; refunds are assessed per policy.

Post

1. Prepare a signed letter with your account details and request to cancel the subscription and request refund if applicable.
2. Send by registered post to: Adblock, Example Street, EC1A 1AA London, United Kingdom.
3. Keep registered post receipt as proof of delivery.

Moving abroad or change of residence

If you move and need to cancel, provide a copy of proof of new address such as a utility bill or tenancy agreement. AdBlock does not publish a special policy for relocation refunds; standard refund windows apply (see refund policy). Price increase

If AdBlock increases the subscription price and you do not accept the increase, you can cancel. Provide the effective date of the price increase (screenshot of the notice) and your cancellation request. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, unfair contract terms such as disproportionate automatic penalties are not binding.

Death of subscriber

To cancel a subscription on grounds of subscriber death, contact [email protected] and provide a copy of the death certificate and proof of executorship or authority to act on the estate. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill during contract termination.

Legitimate grounds accepted by AdBlock

Research shows AdBlock accepts refund requests within specific windows and that purchases via app stores must be handled by the store. Provide receipts and screenshots of charges as required. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

End of commitment

If your plan is annual, your minimum commitment is 12 months. Cancel before renewal to avoid auto-renewal charges. If you cancel mid-term you may not receive a pro rata refund unless covered by AdBlock refund policy or statutory rights.

Cooling-off rights

For online purchases of digital services, you have a 14 day automatic statutory right of withdrawal from most distance contracts under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you agreed that the digital content would be available immediately and started using it, you may lose the right to a refund under the same Regulations. Step 3: Report suspected unfair practices to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). For payment disputes, contact your card issuer to request chargeback or Section 75 cover if the payment qualifies.

Check access and features

After cancellation, confirm that premium features have been removed from your account and that your subscription shows as cancelled in your AdBlock account or app store. Keep screenshots of the cancelled status.

Final billing and refund windows

AdBlock offers full refunds within 60 days of payment when processed by AdBlock's systems. For Total Adblock, annual and biannual subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of initial purchase or renewal; monthly and quarterly products have a 14 day window. If you purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, refunds must be requested via those stores - AdBlock cannot process those refunds. If you paid via third-party processor

If the charge was via Paddle or another processor, follow the cancellation link in your receipt or contact the processor. If you do not receive a satisfactory response, consider a bank chargeback within your issuer's deadlines.

Before you cancel, gather and keep evidence. Follow this checklist to protect your rights and speed up refunds.

• Find and save the purchase receipt or screenshot of the charge.
• Sign in to AdBlock account and cancel via the Subscriptions/Billing section; keep on-screen confirmation.
• If purchased in an app store, cancel in Apple Subscriptions or Google Play Subscriptions and keep the store confirmation.
• If requesting a refund from AdBlock, email [email protected] within the published windows: 60 days for AdBlock-managed payments; 30 days for annual Total Adblock; 14 days for monthly/quarterly Total Adblock.
• If no reply or refusal, contact your card issuer for chargeback or Section 75 if eligible and keep all correspondence.
