Cancel Canva Teams the easy way

Overview

Canva Teams was Canva's multi-user team plan that adds collaboration, admin controls and shared Brand Kit features for organisations. The product has been rolled into Canva Business for new customers, while existing Teams customers may retain legacy settings.

Company facts

Cancel via the web (recommended)

1. Sign in to the Canva account that manages the team.
2. Open the profile menu and select Settings.
3. Choose Billing or Contract period where shown.
4. On your plan row select Cancel plan then Continue cancellation.
5. Pick a reason, confirm Cancel subscription.
6. Save the confirmation email as proof of cancellation. See the official instructions at Canva Help.

Cancel on iOS (App Store)

1. Open the iPhone Settings or the App Store.
2. Tap your Apple ID then Subscriptions.
3. Select Canva and tap Cancel Subscription.
4. Save the cancellation confirmation email or App Store receipt as proof.

Cancel on Android (Google Play)

1. Open the Google Play Store app.
2. Tap the profile icon then Payments and subscriptions then Subscriptions.
3. Select Canva and tap Cancel subscription.
4. Retain the Google Play receipt as proof of cancellation.

Cancel by phone or chat

1. Canva does not publish a dedicated phone number for cancellations; use the Help Centre contact options.
2. Open the Help Centre and start a chat or request support and ask for a cancellation confirmation.
3. Record ticket number and save chat transcript as proof.

Cancel by post

1. Send a registered letter addressed to Canva Teams, 5 New Street Square, EC4A 3TW London, United Kingdom with a clear statement that you Cancel the Canva Teams subscription.
2. Include account email, team name and date of cancellation request.
3. Keep the registered post receipt as proof of dispatch.

Moving / change of business

If you move or change business address this is not listed by Canva as an automatic ground for refund. Provide company registration documents or proof of new address to support any special request to support.

Price increase

If Canva increases the price for an existing contract, you may cancel if the increase was not agreed. Provide a copy of your last invoice and the notice of price change. Death of subscriber

If the account holder dies, contact Canva support and provide a death certificate and evidence of estate authority. Canva's public help pages do not list an explicit death policy; use the Help Centre to request account changes and evidence requirements.

Legitimate grounds accepted by Canva

Canva recognises cancellation through the account manager, cancellations made via App Store or Google Play and pause options. Provide account ownership proof such as admin login email and company name. The specific documents Canva requires are handled case by case through the Help Centre.

End of commitment

When your paid billing period ends after you cancel, team members lose paid access at the period end but designs and Brand Kit content remain on the free plan. No additional proof is required for standard end-of-term cancellations.

Cooling-off and renewals

Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 you have renewal cooling-off rights: a 14-day cooling-off period after a free trial or after a 12-month+ contract auto-renews. Canva offers an option to pause a Pro, Teams or Business plan for up to 3 months with no charge while paused and automatic resumption with email reminder. There are no widely reported standard retention discount offers published by Canva; if you want a discount ask support for any current promotions or a pause.

Use published prices to compute annual savings.

• Canva Pro monthly: £13 x 12 = £156 per year. Annual Pro costs £100 per year. Switching from monthly to annual saves £56 per year.
• Canva Business published price: £180 per user annually. Monthly at ~£16 per user gives £16 x 12 = £192 per user per year. Annual price saves £12 per user per year.
• For a 3-user Business team: 3 x £180 = £540 per year. Cancelling Business saves £540 per year compared with paying annual Business for 3 users.

Cheapest real alternative among listed competitors: Kestern at £59 per month (published). If you cancel a Business team paying £180 per user annually for 3 users and instead choose Kestern for one seat at £59 per month, the numbers are not directly comparable because Kestern is a different product. Kestern monthly cost: £59 x 12 = £708 per year.

Key UK laws that protect you

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 provide a 14-day cancellation right for most contracts concluded online. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill and restricts unfair contract terms.

How to escalate if Canva refuses

1. Complain to Canva first via the Help Centre and keep copies of all messages. 2. Contact Citizens Advice for guidance. 3. If a payment issue qualifies, request chargeback from your card issuer or use Section 75 protections for qualifying credit card transactions. 4. Report suspected unfair practices about auto-renewal or cancellation obstacles to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).

Access and data retention

After cancellation you and team members keep designs, Brand Kit content and shared folders on the Canva Free plan. Paid features are lost at the end of the billing period. Export any files you need in standard formats (PNG, JPG, PDF) before the paid period ends.

Final billing and receipts

Cancellation stops future payments. Save the cancellation confirmation email and check your billing page for the final date of access. If you were charged incorrectly request a refund via the Help Centre and provide the invoice and cancellation confirmation as proof.

How to re-activate

You can re-subscribe to Canva Business or Pro. Note: the research indicates that cancelling Canva Teams is permanent for that legacy product and resubscribing to the legacy Teams plan is not possible; instead choose the current Canva Business plan.
