Kami Vision builds camera-based security and cloud video services used by consumers, assisted living facilities and OEM partners. The company offers subscription cloud plans (Kami Cloud tiers and Kami Pro Security) for camera storage and features.

How subscriptions are sold

Subscriptions are sold via the Kami website and in-app purchases. App Store listings were used to derive UK pricing shown in the pricing block below. For terms see Kami Vision Terms.

Web / Online account cancellation

1. Sign in to your Kami account at https://kamivision.com/en-us.
2. Open Account or Subscription settings and look for a Cancel or Manage Subscription option.
3. If there is no visible cancel button, use the site contact form or online terms page to submit a written cancellation request: include your full name, account email, device ID or serial number, the date you want cancellation effective and a clear statement: "I Cancel my Kami Vision subscription effective [date]."
4. Keep a screenshot or copy of the confirmation and any reference numbers.

iOS (Apple) cancellation

1. Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name, then Subscriptions, then find the Kami subscription.
2. Tap Cancel Subscription. If you cannot cancel there, open the App Store, tap your profile and manage subscriptions.
3. Keep the Apple cancellation confirmation screen or email as proof. Cancelling via Apple stops renewals billed by Apple.

Android (Google Play) cancellation

1. Open Google Play Store, tap your profile, select Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and cancel the Kami subscription from there.
2. Save the Google Play cancellation confirmation email or screenshot.

Phone cancellation

1. Kami Vision does not publicly publish a UK phone number. If you locate a support phone line, state your account details, the exact cancellation sentence: "I Cancel my Kami Vision subscription effective [date]", and ask for a reference number.
2. Record the date, time and name of the agent. If no phone number is published, use email or recorded post.

Email cancellation

1. If you locate a support email, send a clear message with subject: "Cancel my Kami Vision subscription" and include full name, account email, device ID, and request written confirmation.
2. Retain the sent email and any reply. If no support email is published, send a recorded postal letter to the registered address.

Postal cancellation (recorded delivery)

1. Write a signed letter addressed to: Kami Vision, 2225 E Bayshore Road, Suite 200, 94303 Palo Alto, USA.
2. Include: your full name, account email, device serial number, invoice number if available, the sentence "I Cancel my Kami Vision subscription effective [date]", and request written confirmation within 14 days.
3. Send by recorded delivery and keep the proof of posting and the delivery receipt.

Cooling-off period (14 days)

If you bought the subscription online you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14-day period starts the day after the contract is formed for services. You are entitled to a full refund of any advance payments if you Cancel within that period. The trader must reimburse all payments within 14 days of being informed of the cancellation. See Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Service defects or poor performance

If the service is not performed with reasonable care and skill you can complain and seek repair, repeat performance or price reduction under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Gather evidence: dated logs, screenshots of issues, and correspondence with support. Reference: Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Price increase

If Kami increases the subscription price, check your contract for the right to terminate. Under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 the trader must provide an end of contract notice and refund any overpayment when a consumer cancels. If a price rise is applied without contractual permission, use your right to Cancel and request a refund or contract adjustment. See Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

Moving abroad or relocation

Kami Vision does not publish a specific relocation cancellation policy. To terminate because you move, send a written cancellation with proof of new address (utility bill or rental agreement) and request confirmation. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 for unfair contract terms if the company refuses an otherwise valid termination.

Death of the subscriber

Kami Vision does not publish a public policy for subscriber death. Executors should contact the company in writing, provide a death certificate and proof of executorship and request account closure and refund for any unused period. If the company refuses, escalate using the Citizens Advice guidance and contractual law remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

End of commitment

If your subscription includes a fixed minimum term and the end date has arrived, Cancel in writing before the renewal date. The company must respect the end date and provide an end of contract notice where required by the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

Before you cancel: negotiate

Research does not show any published retention offers made by Kami Vision. There are no documented standard discounts or loyalty credits reported. If you want to seek a reduction, send a written request to support or use the account contact form asking for a retention offer. Suggested script: "I would like to keep my subscription but need a lower price. Please offer any available discounts or alternative plans. My current plan: [plan name], billed at £[amount]." Always request the offer in writing and ask for the expiry date of the offer.

Primary UK consumer law

Key laws that apply in the UK are the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill and limits unfair contract terms.

Cooling-off and refunds

The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day cooling-off period for distance contracts formed online. If you Cancel within 14 days you are entitled to a full refund of advance payments. The trader must refund within 14 days of being told about cancellation or of receiving returned goods.

Auto-renewal and unfair practices

The Competition and Markets Authority treats hard-to-cancel subscriptions or unclear auto-renew terms as potential unfair practices. If Kami Vision makes cancellation intentionally difficult, you can complain to Citizens Advice who will advise next steps and escalation.

How to escalate

1. Complain in writing to the trader and keep evidence. 2. If unresolved, seek help from Citizens Advice. 3. For payment disputes, use the card issuer's chargeback or Section 75 for qualifying card payments. 4. If a sector ombudsman applies, escalate there. Cite the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 in your complaint.

Check final billing and refunds

Expect a refund within 14 days if you cancelled in the 14-day cooling-off period. For other refunds request a final invoice and a written confirmation of cancellation. Keep bank statements showing reversal of charges.

Access to recorded video and data

Document which clips you need before cancellation. If cloud storage ends immediately on cancellation you must download required video or screenshots before the expiry date. If Kami does not allow export, request data export in writing citing your rights under UK consumer law.

Re-activation and account closure

If you want to re-subscribe later, keep account credentials. If you need full account deletion, request account deletion in writing and ask for confirmation of data removal.
