Cancel Prezi the easy way

Overview

Prezi is a cloud-based presentation platform that uses a zooming canvas instead of traditional slides to create nonlinear, animated presentations. It offers free and paid plans with features such as offline apps, presentation analytics, AI presentation tools and collaboration for teams and education.

Main features

Prezi provides a Basic free tier plus paid plans that add private links, offline desktop app, PDF export, PowerPoint import, AI credits, presenter view, analytics and centralized team billing.

Who uses Prezi

Prezi targets students, educators, professionals, small businesses and enterprise teams who want non-linear, visually dynamic presentations and collaboration tools.

Web cancellation (recommended)

1. Sign in at your Prezi account.
2. Open Account Settings then select the License tab.
3. Click Cancel Subscription and complete the short questionnaire.
4. Click Continue to confirm cancellation.
5. Wait for the confirmation email from Prezi; keep this as proof.

iOS cancellation

1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your profile icon and choose Subscriptions.
3. Find Prezi and tap Cancel Subscription.
4. Apple will send a cancellation receipt; keep it.

Android cancellation

1. Open Google Play Store on your Android device.
2. Tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
3. Select Prezi and tap Cancel subscription.
4. Save the Google Play cancellation confirmation email or screenshot.

Cancel by email or support portal

1. Open Prezi support pages and submit a ticket or email via the support form.
2. Include your account email, subscription type and request to Cancel (use action verb Cancel).
3. Save the support ticket number and any confirmation email.

Cancel by post (registered letter)

1. Write a signed cancellation letter including your full name, account email, subscription type and request to Cancel.
2. Send by registered post to Prezi, 167-169 Great Portland Street, W1W 5PF London, United Kingdom.
3. Allow 5-7 working days for monthly and 7-10 working days for annual cancellations for delivery and processing.
4. Keep Royal Mail proof of posting and delivery.

Moving abroad or change of jurisdiction

If you move country you can Cancel via your account or send a signed letter with proof of new address (utility bill or tenancy agreement). Prezi does not publish a special relocation exemption; follow standard cancellation steps above.

Price increase

If Prezi raises the price for your renewal and you do not accept the change, you should Cancel before the renewal date via web or registered post and keep proof of cancellation. If a price increase breaches the contract terms seek advice under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for consumers.

Death of the subscriber

To cancel on grounds of death provide a copy of the death certificate and a request from the executor or family member including account email. Send documents via the support portal or by registered post to the UK address.

Legitimate ground - poor performance or service quality

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. If Prezi fails to provide the service with reasonable care and skill, report the issue to Prezi support and request cancellation and remedy. Keep support threads and evidence such as error screenshots or failed uploads.

End of commitment or subscription term

Prezi subscriptions auto-renew. To avoid a renewal charge cancel before the renewal date via Account Settings. Cancellation stops recurring payments; access remains until the paid term expires. Save confirmation email as proof.

Cooling-off period (14 days)

For consumer purchases concluded online the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give a 14-day cooling-off right for new subscriptions and upgrades. If you cancel within 14 days you are entitled to a full refund, although Prezi may deduct an amount for usage if you explicitly consented to start using the digital service during the period. Before you cancel - negotiate with support

Prezi may offer retention options. Research shows Prezi can offer a pause for active annual subscriptions for between 2 and 8 weeks once per subscription term. Some customers have received partial refunds: a Trustpilot testimonial states a sizeable partial refund was granted months after being charged. To request retention or refund: open a support ticket, explain why you want to Cancel, request either a pause, a downgrade to a cheaper plan or a partial refund. Keep ticket numbers and correspondence. Use clear requests such as "Cancel" or "Pause subscription for X weeks".

What cancelling saves - real math

Choose the plan you currently pay and compute annual saving as price x 12 or use the annual price directly.

Examples from published Prezi pricing data:

• EDU Plus: £3 monthly - calculation: £3 x 12 = £36 per year. Cancelling EDU Plus saves £36 per year.
• Standard: £4 monthly - calculation: £4 x 12 = £48 per year. Cancelling Standard saves £48 per year.
• Plus annual: £155 per year (published range £145-£155) - Cancelling Plus saves £155 per year.

Cheapest realistic alternative: Google Slides - £0. Switching from Prezi Standard at £48/year to Google Slides saves £48/year.

Key UK consumer laws

Two laws apply: the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires services to be supplied with reasonable care and skill. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give a 14-day cooling-off right for online purchases by consumers. See: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Auto-renewal and escalation

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has criticised hard-to-cancel subscriptions and unclear auto-renewal notices. If Prezi refuses a lawful refund or misleads about cancellations, complain first to Prezi, keep evidence and then escalate to Citizens Advice. For card payments consider a Section 75 claim or contact your card issuer for a chargeback. If you need formal legal escalation keep all emails, confirmation receipts and postal proof of delivery.

Access and data

When you Cancel recurring payments your account remains active until the end of the paid term. Presentations remain in your account with their privacy settings but you will not be able to edit or create new presentations after the subscription expires.

Final billing and re-activation

Prezi states payments are non-refundable after the next renewal date unless statutory rights apply. If you later re-subscribe you regain access to paid features. Keep the confirmation email from cancellation as proof you cancelled before renewal.
