Moving address or service removal
If you stop having an eligible Pay Monthly Airtime Agreement or home broadband service the Secure Net service may be terminated automatically. Provide evidence of service end such as final Vodafone bill or account change confirmation. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 for service performance.
Price increase
If Secure Net increases its fee Vodafone must give notice. Research shows Vodafone may increase the fee with 30 days' notice. If the increase is significant you can argue unfair contract terms under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Provide the price increase notice from Vodafone as proof. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Death of subscriber
To cancel after the death of the subscriber, provide a copy of the death certificate and proof of authority over the account. Vodafone will assess the documentation before cancelling or transferring the account.
Legitimate ground and poor service
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill. If Secure Net fails to deliver its advertised features you can raise a complaint with Vodafone and request cancellation and refund where appropriate. Provide logs, screenshots and correspondence showing the failures as proof. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015.
End of commitment
Secure Net operates as a monthly rolling service after the 3-month free trial. There is no fixed long-term commitment for the standard add-on. Provide account statements or the trial start date as proof. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for contract formation and information requirements.
Cooling-off period
Most online purchases have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 with a refund. However, digital content exceptions apply if you accepted immediate start of digital content. Secure Net has a 3-month free trial, and if you agreed to immediate activation of digital services you might waive the right to a refund. Provide the acceptance confirmation or trial start message as proof. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
