Cancel Zoho the easy way

Web - cancel in your Zoho account

1. Sign in to your Zoho One or Zoho Billing account.
2. Click your profile icon, go to Subscription or Billing.
3. Click Manage to open the Zoho Store or Billing console.
4. Choose Change Plan and scroll to Cancel Subscription.
5. Select a reason, click Confirm Downgrade or Cancel my Zoho One account and authenticate as prompted.
6. Save screenshots and wait for confirmation email.

iOS - cancel when billed through Apple

1. Open iPhone Settings - tap your name - Subscriptions.
2. Find the Zoho app subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.
3. Keep the Apple receipt email as proof.

Android - cancel when billed through Google Play

1. Open Google Play Store - Menu - Subscriptions.
2. Select the Zoho subscription and choose Cancel subscription.
3. Save the Play Store confirmation email.

Phone

1. Zoho does not publish a UK support phone number for cancellations; use web, email or postal routes.
2. If you have an account manager from an offline purchase, call that manager and follow up by email to [email protected].

Email

1. Send a cancellation request to [email protected] if you bought offline or have an account manager. Include account ID, subscription name, billing cycle and desired cancellation date.
2. Request written confirmation and a refund decision if applicable.

Post

1. Write a cancellation letter including account details and sign it.
2. Send as a registered letter to: Zoho, 1st Floor, 1000 Lakeside, North Harbour, Western Road, PO6 3EN Portsmouth, United Kingdom.
3. Keep proof of posting and allow up to 14 days for a reply.

Moving address or business relocation

If you relocate the business, cancellation follows standard subscription procedures. Provide proof of new address only if billing or legal registration requires it. Zoho does not publish relocation-specific free cancellation rules; use standard account cancellation routes.

Price increase

If Zoho increases the price or removes functionality that was available at signup and Zoho fails to resolve the issue, you may be entitled to a prorated refund for the remainder of your contract under Zoho's refund policy. Provide screenshots of original price, the change notice and account invoices as proof.

Death of subscriber

For sole trader or individual accounts where the account holder has died, contact [email protected] and supply a copy of the death certificate and proof of authority to act for the estate. Zoho handles offline account issues via account managers and support; no specific published process exists.

Legitimate ground (contract breach or service removal)

Zoho states it will offer refunds if functionality available at signup is removed, broken or discontinued and Zoho does not address the issue. To claim, provide documentation of the missing feature, dates, and support ticket IDs. Do not expect refunds if account was suspended for Terms of Service violations such as phishing or fraud.

End of commitment

If you are on a monthly plan you may cancel any time using the account cancellation steps. For annual plans you must cancel before the renewal date to avoid another year of charges; Zoho requires you inform them at least 7 days before renewal to avoid renewal. Cooling-off period (14 day right)

For distance contracts formed online you have a 14 day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Before you cancel: negotiate

Research shows no widely published retention discounts from Zoho. Zoho may offer account-level adjustments or credits in individual cases such as functionality removal or billing errors; requests should be made via support or your account manager. For offline purchases contact [email protected] and ask for a retention offer or prorated credit. Compute annual costs and savings using published GBP prices.

• Zoho One: from £45 per user per month. Annual cost per user = 45 x 12 = £540 per user per year.
• Zoho Books Standard: £12 per month. Annual cost = 12 x 12 = £144 per year.
• Zoho Books Professional: £24 per month. Annual cost = 24 x 12 = £288 per year.
• Zoho Expense Standard: £4 per user per month. Annual cost per user = 4 x 12 = £48 per user per year.
• Zoho Workplace suite: £3.20 per user per month. Annual cost per user = 3.20 x 12 = £38.40 per user per year.

Cheapest real alternative from competitor data: monday CRM at £13 per seat per month. Annual cost = 13 x 12 = £156 per seat per year. Example saving if you cancel Zoho One and switch to monday CRM: 540 - 156 = £384 saved per user per year.

Key UK consumer law

The main protections are the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The CMA (Competition and Markets Authority) enforces against unfair auto-renewal and hard-to-cancel subscriptions.

Cooling-off and refunds

The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 grant a 14 day cancellation period for distance contracts starting when the contract is formed; if you agreed to immediate supply of digital content the right may be lost. Under Zoho's refund policy you may get a full refund within the first month for monthly subscriptions and within 45 days for annual subscriptions; for missed renewals Zoho accepts refund requests within five business days after monthly renewal or 15 days after annual renewal for certain cases. How to escalate

First complain to Zoho via support, your account manager or [email protected]. If unresolved, get guidance from Citizens Advice and the CMA. For card payments consider Section 75 or chargeback with your card issuer where applicable. If you paid by a regulated method and the trader refuses refund rights, escalate to the relevant ombudsman or complaint body.

Check account access and data

After cancellation some Zoho applications will move to a free plan or Trial Expired state. Export or back up data before cancellation where you need it. Keep invoices and the cancellation confirmation email.

Final billing and refunds

Zoho states monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled. If eligible for a refund, Zoho offers full refunds within the first month for monthly subscriptions and within 45 days for annual subscriptions. For missed renewals Zoho accepts refund requests within five business days after a monthly renewal or 15 days after an annual renewal in defined circumstances. The trader must reimburse payments under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 within 14 days of being informed of cancellation; follow up if Zoho exceeds that timeframe.

Re-activation

You can re-activate a Zoho account by subscribing again from the account console. Data retention after cancellation depends on the product; export data before cancelling to guarantee access.

Follow this checklist to cancel Zoho and protect your data and money.

• Download a copy of all critical data and attachments from Zoho apps you use.
• Log in and cancel via the Web route for fastest processing; save screenshots and confirmation emails.
• If billed by Apple or Google, cancel via App Store or Google Play subscriptions and keep the receipt.
• If you paid annually and missed cancellation, request a refund within 15 days for annual renewals or within 5 business days for monthly renewals where applicable.
