Core service

Diddikicks runs toddler football classes and activity sessions for children aged 18 months to 5 years. Sessions are organised in three age groups: Dids (18 months to 2.5 years), Mids (2.5 years to 3.5 years) and Bigs (3.5 years to 5 years).

How it is sold

Classes are sold as a regular subscription with monthly billing and run approximately 47 weeks of the year. Parents can book a free trial class for new children.

Company facts

Web - Parent Portal (recommended)

1. Log in to your Parent Portal account.
2. Locate the cancellation or 'Terminations' form in account settings or membership area.
3. Complete the required fields and submit the form.
4. Keep a screenshot of the submitted form and any confirmation message.
5. Cancellation becomes effective 4 weeks from the date of your last fee payment.

iOS / Android - mobile access

1. Open your mobile browser and sign in to the Parent Portal (same process as web).
2. Complete and submit the cancellation form.
3. Save a screenshot of the submission and check your email for confirmation.
4. Allow 4 weeks from last payment for the cancellation to take effect.

Phone

1. If you prefer phone contact, use the contact route on the official contact page: Contact Diddikicks.
2. Ask the agent to record your cancellation request and to confirm the effective cancellation date (four weeks from last payment).
3. Request a written confirmation by email.

Email

1. Send an email to [email protected] with your account details, child name, class location and explicit instruction: "Cancel my subscription".
2. Attach any supporting documents required by your franchise if relevant.
3. Save the sent message and any reply; keep the effective cancellation date.

Post (registered letter)

1. Write a signed letter addressed to: Diddikicks, Fonthill Road, BN3 6HA Hove, United Kingdom.
2. Include your account details, child name, class location and the date you want the cancellation to be processed (note the four week notice rule).
3. Send by recorded delivery and keep the proof of postage and delivery receipt.
4. Expect 1-2 working days for delivery plus processing time by Diddikicks.

Moving house

Rule - Diddikicks does not publish a specific moving policy. Use the standard cancellation route (Parent Portal form or registered letter) and give 4 weeks notice from the date of the last fee payment. Proof required - provide a copy of proof of new address if you want the franchise to consider special handling. Applicable law - Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for off-premises or distance contracts when relevant: 14-day cooling-off applies if the contract was concluded online or off-premises (see below).

Price increase

Rule - If Diddikicks increases the price at renewal, you have the right to cancel the subscription for the next period. Provide notice through the Parent Portal or by contacting Diddikicks. Proof required - notification from Diddikicks about the increase or your invoice showing the change. Applicable law - Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 - traders must provide a renewal cooling-off notice; see Part 4, Chapter 2.

Death of the subscriber

Rule - If the paying subscriber dies, notify Diddikicks in writing and provide a copy of the death certificate. Diddikicks' general refund policy is that fees are non-refundable except with prior written agreement, so request written confirmation of account closure and any refund decision. Proof required - death certificate and the executor's proof of authority.

Legitimate ground - medical

Rule - Research shows franchises sometimes consider medical reasons and may offer partial refunds at franchise discretion. Diddikicks' published position: fees are non-refundable except with prior written agreement. Proof required - supporting documentation from a healthcare provider. Applicable law - Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires services to be performed with reasonable care and skill.

End of commitment / Standard cancellation

Rule - Standard cancellation requires 4 weeks notice from the date of the last payment via the Parent Portal. No cancellation fee is published. Proof required - Parent Portal form submission, email confirmation, or proof of recorded delivery for a postal request.

Cooling-off (distance contracts)

Rule - If you bought the subscription online or off-premises, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give a 14-day cooling-off right for most contracts. Digital content exceptions apply where download/streaming began with your express consent. The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 also creates renewal cooling-off rights; traders must provide a cooling-off notice for each renewal and information about refunds - see section 261 and the cooling-off rights provisions.

Before cancelling: negotiating with Diddikicks

Retention offers reported in independent research: none explicitly published. There are no publicly reported standard retention offers from Diddikicks. If you want to negotiate, follow this script by email or Parent Portal message: "I wish to cancel my subscription. Before I cancel, please confirm any retention offers, alternative class times, sibling discounts, or pro rata refunds available to my account." Ask for a written offer and a deadline to accept. Keep all replies.

What cancelling saves - yearly maths

Monthly subscription price: £33.99.

Yearly cost for one full-price child: 12 x £33.99 = £407.88 per year.

Sibling price for second child: £16.99 monthly - 12 x £16.99 = £203.88 per year.

Starter pack one-time fee: £29.99.

Cheapest real alternative from competitors (from research): The Busy Box at £19.99 monthly - 12 x £19.99 = £239.88 per year.

Key UK consumer law

Relevant laws include the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for cooling-off rights. The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 provides new rules for subscription renewals and cooling-off rights; see Part 4, Chapter 2 and section 261.

If a parent cancels and less than one calendar month remains until the next scheduled payment, no refund will be issued. Exceptions for refunds do not apply for events designated as "Act of God" or similar (research lists extreme weather, strikes, terrorist activity, or public guidance advising against travel).

How to escalate

1. Complain to Diddikicks first via Parent Portal, email or registered letter and retain proof.

2. For help, contact Citizens Advice to understand your rights.

3. If a card payment qualifies, consider Section 75 or a chargeback with your card issuer.

4. Report potential unfair auto-renewal practices to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) or seek advice from Citizens Advice.

Confirm access and final classes

Check your Parent Portal and email for confirmation that your cancellation has been processed and the last date of attendance. Cancellation is effective 4 weeks from the date of your last fee payment.

Data, receipts and records

Download or save receipts for your payments, a screenshot of the cancellation confirmation or the Parent Portal submission, and any email correspondence. Keep proof of posting and delivery if you used registered mail.

Final billing and refunds

Diddikicks states fees are non-refundable except with prior written agreement. If Diddikicks cancels a session prior to commencement they will refund fees for the remaining calendar month. If you cancelled and less than one calendar month remained before the next payment, no refund will be issued.

Re-activation

To re-join after cancellation contact Diddikicks through the Parent Portal or the official contact page. Re-enrolment will follow current pricing and availability; starter pack is a one-time fee of £29.99 if required.
