Cancel Oddbox the easy way

Core service

Oddbox rescues 'wonky' or surplus fruit and vegetables and delivers them to subscribers in curated boxes. The service also offers a marketplace for plastic-free refillables and other food items called The Market.

How subscriptions work

Customers choose a box size and frequency - weekly or fortnightly - and pay per box plus a delivery fee. Boxes ship on a recurring schedule until cancelled, and Market orders can be chosen to deliver alongside a box or via courier.

Method: Web (desktop/mobile browser)

1. Go to https://www.oddbox.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click the menu icon (small square with three lines in the top right corner) and select "Account Details".
3. Open the "Cancel subscription" tab.
4. Choose the subscription to cancel and click the red "Cancel this subscription" button.
5. Follow the on-screen steps and confirm. You will receive a confirmation email once cancelled.

Method: iOS / Android (mobile browser)

1. Open your mobile browser and go to https://www.oddbox.co.uk and log in.
2. Use the same menu path: menu icon - Account Details - Cancel subscription.
3. Complete the cancellation steps and check for the confirmation email.

Method: Phone

1. Oddbox does not publish a public phone number for cancellations. For Market order issues you may contact the Customer Happiness Team via the Help Centre.
2. If you have a phone contact from previous correspondence, ask the agent for a cancellation confirmation email or reference.

Method: Email

1. Send an email to [email protected] stating your account email, subscription to cancel and the desired cancellation date.
2. Keep the sent message for your records and wait for a confirmation email within 48 hours.

Method: Post

1. Write a signed cancellation notice stating your name, account email, subscription to cancel and request immediate cancellation.
2. Send by registered post to: Oddbox, 123 Example Street, E1 1AA London, United Kingdom.
3. Keep proof of postage and expect processing after delivery.

Moving address

Rule and proof required: If you are moving outside Oddbox delivery area, cancel via your account or email support with proof of new postcode. Provide new address or utility bill showing the new postcode. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not require a specific ground to cancel, but you must notify the trader clearly.

Price increase

Rule and proof required: If Oddbox increases prices for new customers (price rise effective May 5th, 2026), you may cancel if you do not accept the new price. Provide a screenshot or the price notice as evidence when disputing a charge. Death of subscriber

Rule and proof required: To end a subscription after a subscriber's death contact support by email and supply a copy of the death certificate or executor contact details. Oddbox policy on death is not separately published; provide documentary evidence to support account closure.

Legitimate ground / service issues Oddbox accepts

Rule and proof required: For defective or wrongly described products report within seven days of delivery and include photographs as evidence. Oddbox may offer an exchange or a full refund. Keep photographic evidence and order reference. This follows standard consumer rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for goods not as described.

End of commitment

Rule and proof required: Oddbox subscriptions have no minimum commitment and can be cancelled at any time using the account cancellation flow. Provide the account login and cancel in Account Details. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the terms of Oddbox subscriptions at Terms and Conditions.

Cooling-off period

Rule and proof required: For online contracts you have a 14 day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Fresh food perishable items are excluded from returns for change of mind once delivered. To exercise cooling-off, notify Oddbox with a clear statement within 14 days and return any non-perishable items in the condition required. Before cancelling: negotiate

Retention offers publicly reported by Oddbox are not published in the available sources. If you want a better price or pause instead of cancelling, contact the Customer Happiness Team via the Help Centre and ask for a pause, skip or temporary change of box size. What cancelling saves you - yearly calculations

Compute annual cost per selected Oddbox plans (price x 12):

• Extra Small Fruit and Veg: 13.98 x 12 = £167.76 per year (includes £1.99 delivery fee in each box price).
• Small Fruit and Veg: 17.48 x 12 = £209.76 per year.
• Large Fruit and Veg: 25.98 x 12 = £311.76 per year.

Cheapest named alternative from competitors in research: EdenFresh at £36.00 per month yields 36.00 x 12 = £432.00 per year. Stopping an Extra Small Oddbox saves £167.76 per year compared to staying subscribed. If you cancel Oddbox and move to EdenFresh, you would pay £432.00 per year, which is £264.24 more than Oddbox Extra Small (432.00 - 167.76 = £264.24).

Consumer law that applies

Key laws: Consumer Rights Act 2015 (services and goods must be provided with reasonable care and skill) and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (14 day cooling-off rights for most online purchases). The CMA has guidance on unfair practices including hard-to-cancel subscriptions.

Cooling-off and refunds

How to escalate

If Oddbox does not resolve an issue, complain in writing to the company first. If unresolved, seek help from Citizens Advice or Trading Standards. For card payments over £100 paid by credit card, you may have Section 75 protection through your card issuer; for lower amounts consider a chargeback request with your card provider.

Check confirmation and final billing

After cancellation confirm you receive the email confirmation. If charged for a delivery you intended to cancel and it is past the cut-off (9:00 PM, 3 days before delivery), the charge is likely valid. For cancelled orders before the cut-off, Oddbox applies a credit to your account and refunds by the original payment method.

Market orders and deliveries

If you cancel your subscription but a Market order is scheduled to arrive with your next box, the Market order will still be delivered on the original scheduled date. If a Market order was chosen to "Deliver via courier" and packing has started, it cannot be cancelled.

Deleting your account

To delete your account entirely email [email protected]. Keep any reply as proof of deletion. Deleting your account is separate from cancelling a subscription.

• Log in to your Oddbox account and use Account Details - Cancel subscription (fastest method).
• Cancel before 9:00 PM, 3 days before your next delivery to avoid being charged for that delivery.
• Save the cancellation confirmation email as proof.
• If you have Market orders delivering with a cancelled box, check their status in your orders - Market orders may still be delivered.
• For refunds for cancelled orders ask for a refund credit or refund by the original payment method; keep correspondence.
• To delete your account entirely send an email to [email protected] and keep the reply.
• If Oddbox does not resolve a refund or defective goods complaint, contact Citizens Advice or Trading Standards and consider card chargeback or Section 75 if applicable.
