Moving or relocation
Rule: Standard eDreams bookings are subject to the supplier (airline or hotel) rules. The eDreams C4AR guarantee, if purchased at booking, allows cancellation without justification up to the applicable deadline (24 hours for flights; 72 hours for Flight + Hotel) and does not require proof of relocation. If C4AR was not purchased, you must follow the airline or hotel cancellation policy and provide any documents they require. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Price increase
Rule: Price changes after booking do not in themselves permit cancellation under eDreams contract terms. If eDreams materially changes the contract terms after the contract date, you may have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for services not provided with reasonable care and skill. For eDreams Prime auto-renewal charges, see the subscription cancellation section below. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Death of passenger or serious illness
Rule: eDreams C4AR does not require justification, so it covers cancellations without documentation when purchased and within deadline. For bookings without C4AR, refund or free cancellation depends on supplier (airline/hotel) policies. If you have a qualifying claim for exceptional circumstances with the supplier, present a death certificate or medical certificate to the supplier or to eDreams when requesting a refund. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Legitimate grounds accepted by eDreams (C4AR specifics)
Rule: The Cancel For Any Reason guarantee must be purchased at the time of booking and applies to all passengers in the booking. C4AR requires cancellation to be made to eDreams within the deadline and excludes cancellations made less than 24 hours before the first outbound flight (72 hours for Flight + Hotel). Boarding denial due to incorrect documents or missed check-in will void C4AR. Applicable source: C4AR help article and C4AR conditions.
End of commitment / subscription end
Rule: eDreams Prime is billed annually. To avoid renewal, cancel the Prime subscription before the renewal date via My Prime or by phone. Cancelling stops auto-renewal; access normally continues until the paid period ends. Applicable law: CMA guidance on unfair auto-renewal practices and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 for contract formation.
Cooling-off (14-day right)
Rule: The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give a 14-day cooling-off right for distance contracts, allowing cancellation within 14 days of the contract date with a refund where the regulations apply. Travel products have exceptions once performance begins with your express consent. Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 Part 3.
