What the service offers

Discovery Channel in its streaming form is available through discovery+ in the UK. It bundles factual shows on nature, science, history and reality television and provides both on-demand catalogue content and live channels such as Discovery, Animal Planet and HGTV.

How discovery+ is packaged

Discovery sells monthly plans that auto-renew. The core Entertainment plan costs £3.99 per month and includes on-demand catalogue, live channels and Discovery+ Originals. There are additional bundles for live sport branded TNT Sports priced at £30.99 per month and a combined TNT Sports + Entertainment plan for £33.99 per month.

Web - cancel directly on discovery+

1. Go to discoveryplus.com and sign in with the account that pays for the subscription.
2. Open your profile, choose Subscription or Account > Manage Subscription or visit support page for the direct subscription link.
3. Select Cancel Your Subscription and follow on-screen prompts. You will receive an email confirming the cancellation and that you can stream until the billing period ends.

iOS - cancel via Apple

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions, then find discovery+ and select Cancel Subscription.
3. Apple sends a confirmation email; you keep access until the paid period ends.

Android - cancel via Google Play

1. Open Play Store app, tap your profile icon, choose Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
2. Find discovery+, choose Cancel subscription and confirm.
3. Google Play sends a confirmation email; you retain access until the period end.

Amazon - cancel via Amazon Appstore

1. Sign in to your Amazon account and go to amazon.co.uk/appstoresubscriptions.
2. Locate discovery+ and turn off auto-renewal or cancel the subscription.
3. Amazon will email your confirmation and service continues until expiry.

By post

1. Write a clear statement: your name, account email, request to cancel immediately and stop renewal, and signature.

3. Keep the postal receipt as proof of delivery.

Cooling-off (within 14 days)

If you bought the subscription online you have a 14-day cooling-off right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you asked for immediate access to streaming and gave express consent to start digital content during that period you may lose the right to a full refund for the period already used. To exercise the right, notify Discovery with a clear statement of cancellation.

Price increase

If Discovery increases the price mid-contract you may have a right to cancel without penalty if the change is material and not agreed in your contract. Provide the notice of price change from Discovery and your subscription invoice as proof.

Moving abroad
