Web

1. Go to sky.com and sign in to your account.
2. Open the 'Contact Us' or 'MySky' section and choose 'Cancel a subscription' or start the online chat.
3. When connected, tell the advisor you want to cancel the Sky Sports add-on and request a cancellation reference.
4. Save the chat transcript or reference number as proof.

iOS (Sky app)

1. Open the Sky TV or Sky app on your iOS device and sign in.
2. Navigate to Account or Help and select contact options; use the in-app messaging or follow the link to the web chat.
3. Request cancellation and save the confirmation or screenshot the chat.

Android

1. Open the Sky app or browser and sign in to your Sky account.
2. Choose Contact Us or chat with an advisor and request cancellation of Sky Sports add-on.

2. Provide your account name, customer account number, address and date of birth for verification.
3. Clearly state: "I wish to cancel my Sky Sports subscription" and ask for the effective cancellation date and a reference number.

1. Write a signed cancellation letter including your name, account number, address and the words: "I wish to cancel my Sky Sports subscription".

Cooling-off period (change of mind)

Rule - Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day cooling-off period for contracts concluded online, by phone or by mail-order. If you cancel within 14 days you are entitled to a full refund unless you asked Sky to start the service during that period.

Required proof - name, customer account number, address, postcode, telephone number, email address; keep the online form receipt, chat transcript or call reference. Reference: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

End of minimum commitment

Rule - When your fixed term ends (common terms are 24 months) you can cancel and will not face early termination fees once the minimum commitment has expired.

Price increase

Rule - If Sky increases the price you may have specific rights to cancel without penalty when the change is substantial under your contract terms. You must notify Sky and request cancellation citing the price change.

Moving address (different coverage)

Rule - Sky accepts cooling-off, service non-performance and moves outside coverage as legitimate grounds. For other grounds you must provide documentary evidence and the trader will assess the claim.

Before you cancel: negotiate

What to ask for - call 03442 41 41 41 or use the web chat and explicitly request a retention offer, lower monthly cost, or a shorter-term flexible package. Research does not list specific retention discounts publicly; Sky is known to make retention offers but no fixed offers are published. If you want a written offer, ask the advisor to email the exact terms and expiry date for your decision.

Access and apps

Action - Streaming access to Sky Sports channels will end at the effective cancellation date. The Sky Sports app will still provide news, highlights and scores but live streaming requires an active subscription.
