1. Go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used to buy the item.
2. Find the purchase or subscription you want to cancel or refund.
3. Select "I d like to" and choose "Request a refund".
4. Select the reason from the dropdown, choose the item and click "Submit".
5. Watch for an email from Apple; updates normally arrive within 24-48 hours.

1. Sign in to your Apple Account at appleid.apple.com or via the App Store account settings.
2. Open Purchase History and locate the order within 14 days of receipt.

Cooling-off period (14 day right of withdrawal)

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14 day cooling-off period for distance contracts. The law requires traders to reimburse where a contract is cancelled under statutory rights; keep copies of all documents.

Legitimate grounds accepted by App Store (from research)

App Store accepts refund requests and cancellations via reportaproblem.apple.com and withdrawal requests within 14 days via Purchase History. The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for digital content if delivery started with the user's prior consent and acknowledgement that they lose the right of withdrawal. Provide order receipt, proof of attempted cancellation and any developer correspondence when submitting a claim.

End of commitment

If your subscription had a fixed term, cancellation after the term ends is the same as cancelling recurring billing: cancel via Manage Subscriptions in iOS or via your Apple Account to stop future renewals. Provide subscription ID and last invoice as proof.

Failure to provide the service or poor quality

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a service must be performed with reasonable care and skill. If a digital subscription is defective or not as described, request a refund via reportaproblem.apple.com and include evidence such as screenshots, timestamps and correspondence. Before cancelling: ask for retention offers

Research does not identify standard retention discounts offered by App Store itself. For developer subscriptions, contact the app developer via the app support link in the App Store to request a discount or a trial extension. When contacting support, include your Apple ID, subscription name, last invoice and a clear request for a discount or refund. If no developer offer exists, use reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund within 14 days.
