Cancel Microsoft Game Pass the easy way

Overview

Microsoft Game Pass is a subscription gaming service that gives access to a rotating library of games across console, PC and cloud streaming. Cancel by post

1. Write a registered letter including your full name, Microsoft account email, subscription plan and explicit request to Cancel the Game Pass subscription.

Price increase

If Microsoft raises the subscription price, you have the right to cancel without penalty. The CMA secured changes requiring clearer notifications for price increases and easier cancellation. Moving abroad or change of circumstances

To cancel because you move outside supported regions, provide proof of new residence such as a utility bill or tenancy agreement showing the new address. If Microsoft cannot provide the service in your new country, request cancellation and a refund if eligible under the refund policy.

Death of subscriber

Microsoft does not publish a specific public procedure for cancellation after the death of a subscriber. For account access and cancellation you should contact Microsoft support and provide a death certificate and documentation proving authority to act for the estate. Data and account

Your Microsoft account and saved game progress remain unless you delete the account. If you want to remove personal data, use the Microsoft privacy dashboard or request account data removal via Microsoft support.

Final billing and refunds

Check your payment method for a final charge and keep the confirmation email. If you are within refund windows described in Microsoft's refund policy, request a refund via your account or support. For purchases made through Apple or Google, request a refund from them.
