How it works

Members sign either a monthly rolling plan or a fixed-term contract (for example 6-month or 12-month). Cancellation is managed directly through your home club.

Web / Member Portal

1. Check the member portal or the Snap app for a cancellation option. Snap Fitness UK has not published a standard online cancellation route on its UK pages.
2. If no web option exists, proceed by email or post to your home club.
3. Keep screenshots of any web confirmation if available.

iOS / Android (Snap App)

1. Open the Snap App and look for membership settings or billing details.
2. If the app allows contract termination, follow the on-screen steps and save confirmation.
3. If the app does not provide cancellation, email your home club as the official route.

Phone

1. Locate your home club phone number on the club page or Snap Fitness contact page.
2. Call during staffed hours and request cancellation in writing to your preferred email or postal address.
3. Ask for an email confirmation; if none is given, follow up with a recorded postal letter.

Email

1. Find your home club email via the club page or by asking staff in-club.
2. Send a signed, dated email stating your membership number, request to cancel, and specify a termination date respecting 30 days notice.
3. Keep the sent email and any reply as proof. Expect one final payment at the start of the next month and access until the end of that month.

Post (Registered Letter)

1. Write a signed letter with your membership details and cancellation request; send by recorded delivery to your home club or to Snap Fitness UK, 21 Lombard Street, EC3V 9AH London, United Kingdom.
2. Retain the postal receipt and the delivery confirmation as proof.
3. Allow for the 30 day notice to run from date of receipt.

Moving address

Rule - Snap Fitness UK allows cancellation if you move to a location where your home club no longer services you, but you must contact your home club directly and provide supporting proof.

Required proof documents - proof of new address such as a signed tenancy agreement or utility bill and a dated letter or email to the club. Applicable law - Consumer Rights Act 2015 where contract terms must be fair.

Price increase

Rule - If Snap Fitness increases your membership price during a fixed term and you do not accept the increase, you may be able to terminate under the contract terms. Required proof documents - copy of notice of price increase from the club and your written rejection. Death of the subscriber

Rule - Contracts may be ended on the death of the primary member; contact the club with proof to terminate the membership.

Legitimate ground - illness or injury

Rule - Snap Fitness should allow cancellation for a serious injury or illness preventing gym use. Competition and Markets Authority guidance supports cancellation in such circumstances.

Required proof documents - a medical letter from a GP or hospital confirming inability to use facilities and dated request to the club. Applicable law - Consumer Rights Act 2015 and CMA guidance.

Severe financial hardship or job loss

Rule - Snap Fitness may consider cancellations for significant change in circumstances such as job loss or severe debt, subject to evidence and club discretion.

End of commitment

Rule - For fixed-term contracts (6 months, 12 months) the 30 day notice period applies only after the initial term has completed. Cooling-off period (change of mind)

Rule - If you purchased the membership off-premises or online you have a 14 day statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Before you cancel: negotiate

Retention offers - research does not list standard national retention deals from Snap Fitness UK. Clubs commonly waive joining fees or offer a temporary discount, but no specific nationwide offer is published. How to ask - contact your home club and request a retention offer in writing. Ask for a reduced monthly rate, a temporary freeze, or a waived cancellation fee. If the club refuses, request the club's written reason and then proceed to cancel if needed.

Example plan math - Monthly Flexible example at £29.95 per month: 29.95 x 12 = £359.40 per year. If your plan is £39.95 per month: 39.95 x 12 = £479.40 per year. Cooling-off and refunds

Return your club access card if requested. For the Money Back Guarantee you must return the access card to qualify. Request confirmation the club has closed your membership and ask for a final balance. Ask the club how they handle personal data and request deletion if you want no further marketing contact.

Re-activation and future sign-ups

To rejoin later you will generally sign a new contract. Re-joining offers, joining fees and access card fees vary by club and may be waived during promotions.
