Web - cancel via Account Manager

1. Go to your HostGator Account Manager and log in.
2. Open the product under Hosting Details and click the Billing tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and click Cancel Package.

6. Wait for the email confirmation; keep it as proof.

LiveChat - cancel with an agent

1. Open HostGator LiveChat from their help pages.
2. Identify yourself and provide account email and last 4 digits of payment card if requested.

1. Write a signed letter with account owner name, account ID and the explicit statement to cancel services.

Moving abroad or changing provider

If you move and need to cancel, HostGator accepts cancellation requests submitted via the Account Manager, LiveChat, phone or post. Provide proof such as a forwarding address or company name if requested. There is no published special exemption for relocation beyond the standard cancellation process.

Price increase

If HostGator raises prices during a renewal, you may cancel before renewal. For subscription contracts, UK rules require an end of contract notice and refund of any overpayment. Save the renewal invoice and request a refund for payments beyond the cancellation date.

Death of subscriber

In the event of the account holder's death, contact Billing by email or phone and provide proof such as a death certificate and evidence of authority to act. HostGator requires identity verification before processing requests.

End of commitment
