Cancel on iPhone (Apple App Store)

1. Open Settings on your iPhone and tap your name > Subscriptions, or open App Store > Profile > Subscriptions.
2. Find Insight Timer MemberPlus in your subscription list.
3. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. Apple will show the end date for your current billing period.
4. Retain the Apple confirmation email or a screenshot as proof.
5. If you want Apple refunds, contact Apple support or use Apple's refund process.

Cancel on Android (Google Play)

1. Open Google Play Store app and tap your profile > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions.
2. Select Insight Timer and tap Cancel subscription, then confirm.
3. Keep the Google Play confirmation email or screenshot.

Cancel by email

1. Send an email from your account address to [email protected] with subject "Cancel subscription" and include your account email and transaction ID if available.
2. Request a confirmation email showing cancellation and the effective end date.
3. Allow several working days for a reply; keep the thread as proof.

Cancel by post

1. Write a signed letter including your full name, account email, and a clear statement: "Please cancel my MemberPlus subscription effective immediately."

3. Keep the proof of posting and any receipt delivered by Insight Timer.

Phone support

Insight Timer does not publish a customer service phone number. Use [email protected] for official support. If a phone number appears elsewhere do not rely on it as an official channel.

Moving abroad or changing country

If you move countries you can cancel your subscription through your account or the relevant app store. Provide a proof document if the platform requests region change evidence, for example a new billing address screenshot from your bank. Applicable law: none specific; standard contract cancellation routes apply.

Price increase

If Insight Timer raises subscription prices, you may cancel and seek a refund for overpayment if the increase breaches your contract terms. Keep the price-change notice and your account statements as proof. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 protects against unfair contract terms.

Death of subscriber

In the event of the subscriber's death, next of kin should contact [email protected] with a copy of the death certificate and the account email to request cancellation. Proof required: scanned death certificate and proof of relationship or authority.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. End of commitment

MemberPlus has no minimum commitment. Cancel at any time through the account settings or the app store used for purchase. Proof required: account cancellation confirmation or app store subscription status.

Cooling-off period (14 days)

If you bought a subscription online, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 usually give you a 14-day cooling-off right for distance contracts. That right is lost for digital content once streaming or download starts if you gave express consent and acknowledged loss of the right. If you purchased on the website and started streaming immediately without consenting to loss of right, you may be able to cancel and receive a refund. Before you cancel: negotiate

Insight Timer does not publish standard retention offers. Contact [email protected] to request a retention offer or a promotional rate. When you email, include your account email, current plan, renewal date, and ask for any available discount or trial extension. If you subscribed via Apple or Google Play the platform decides refunds or promotions for that purchase.

Calculate actual yearly costs to decide. MemberPlus monthly costs £9.99. Yearly cost if you pay monthly: 9.99 x 12 = £119.88 per year. The MemberPlus annual plan is £59.99 per year. Savings by switching from monthly to annual: 119.88 - 59.99 = £59.89 per year.

If you cancel MemberPlus Annual (£59.99) and move to the cheapest listed competitor, Mindspace Music Annual at £50.04, your saving is 59.99 - 50.04 = £9.95 per year.

Example math:

• MemberPlus monthly: 9.99 x 12 = £119.88
• MemberPlus annual: £59.99
• Saving switching monthly to annual: £119.88 - £59.99 = £59.89
• Cheapest competitor annual (Mindspace): £50.04

Relevant UK law and regulator

The primary regulator is the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Key laws are the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 introduces additional subscription obligations effective 2026. Cooling-off and digital content

The CMA treats unclear auto-renewal or hard-to-cancel subscriptions as potential unfair practices. Escalation routes

Check access and final billing

Data and account

Cancelling a subscription does not delete your Insight Timer account or personal data. If you want full deletion, follow account settings to delete your account or contact [email protected] and request data deletion. Download any course progress or certificates you want before deletion.

Re-activation and re-subscription

You can re-subscribe by choosing a MemberPlus plan in the app or website. If you re-subscribe, billing restarts depending on the store used for the new purchase. Keep receipts for proof of new billing cycles.
