Overview

Wix is a website creation and hosting platform that lets individuals and businesses build and manage websites using templates, a drag-and-drop editor and integrated tools for e-commerce, bookings and marketing. Wix offers free plans and several paid subscriptions for classic and Studio products to add custom domains, remove ads and enable online selling.

Company facts

Web - cancel a site plan (recommended)

1. Sign in at your Wix account and open the dashboard for the site with the premium plan.
2. Open Account Settings or the top-right profile and choose Subscriptions or Premium Subscriptions.
3. Find the relevant plan, click the More Actions icon next to the plan.
4. Click Cancel Plan and then click Cancel Now to confirm.
5. After confirmation the plan will not renew; the site remains active until the subscription expiry date. Keep the confirmation email or screenshot as proof.

iOS and Android

1. Wix does not publish step-by-step mobile cancellation procedures in its support articles. If you have the Wix mobile app, check the app's Account or Billing area and compare against the web flow above.
2. If mobile billing was processed via Apple or Google, you may need to cancel the subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play subscriptions if the charge route lists those stores. Wix documentation advises managing premium plans in your Wix account.

Phone

1. Wix does not publish a UK support phone number for cancellations in its public support articles. The web cancellation path is the official, documented route.
2. Use the postal or in-account support options if you cannot access the web flow.

Email and post

Cooling-off period (initial purchase)

If you bought a premium plan online, you have a 14-day cancellation right under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To claim, notify Wix of your decision to cancel within 14 days. If you cancel within this period Wix ends the plan immediately and issues a full refund. Refunds can take up to 45 business days to appear in your account according to Wix support.

You may cancel during the renewal cooling-off period; cancellation is effective when Wix receives a clear statement. Wix must give an end of contract notice and refund overpayments.

Death of subscriber or change of circumstances

Wix does not publish a specific policy for cancellation on death or major life events in its support articles. Access and data

Cancelling a premium plan does not delete your site. Your site remains on your Wix account and the premium features stay active until subscription expiry. Export any content you need before the expiry if you plan to delete the site after cancellation.

Domain, email and apps

Canceling a site plan does not cancel a domain registration, business email or app subscriptions. You must cancel domain renewals and any separate subscriptions in the Domains, Email or Apps sections of your account.

Re-activation and refunds

If you cancelled within the 14-day new-purchase window you are eligible for a full refund for first-time purchases of a new Premium or Studio site plan. Refunds can take up to 45 business days to appear in your account. For renewals or upgrades, the 14-day refund does not apply per Wix policy.
