Web dashboard (recommended)

1. Log in to your Klaviyo account.
2. Click your account name in the bottom-left corner and select "Billing".
3. In the Billing section click "Cancel Plan".
4. Select the plan(s) you wish to cancel; to cancel the entire account select "Cancel all plans" and click "Continue".
5. Choose a reason for cancellation and click "Continue"; choose to end at the end of your billing cycle or immediately.
6. Enter the account name to confirm and click "Cancel Plan", then click "Exit" for on-screen confirmation.
7. Save the on-screen confirmation and any email confirmation as proof.

Email cancellation

1. Send a clear cancellation request to [email protected] including your account name, email address, and plan to cancel.
2. Request written confirmation of cancellation and the date when billing will stop.
3. Keep the reply email as evidence.

Phone or chat

1. Klaviyo’s public support phone hours are not published; use the web Billing flow or email for documented cancellation.
2. If an agent offers retention, ask for written confirmation of any credits or changes.

By post

1. Send a registered letter to Klaviyo, 25 Canada Square, E14 5LQ London, United Kingdom with a clear statement that you cancel the subscription contract.
2. Include account name and email address; request written confirmation by return post or email.
3. Keep the postal receipt as proof.

Moving or relocation

If you move, Klaviyo does not publish specific relocation exceptions. Send a cancellation request in the web Billing flow or by email with the updated circumstances. Required proof documents: proof of new address is not published by Klaviyo; provide account name and clear written statement. Price increase

If Klaviyo increases the price at renewal, review your account notification and the renewal email. Required proof documents: copy of the price increase notice and your account billing statement. Death of subscriber

Legitimate ground

Legitimate grounds include permanent inability to use the service for reasons outside your control. Klaviyo does not publish a formal list of accepted legitimate grounds. End of commitment

Cooling-off (14 day)

For online contracts, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 provide a 14-day cooling-off period for many online services. The Consumer Rights Act 2024 Part 4 Chapter 2 also sets renewal cooling-off rights. To exercise cooling-off, send a clear statement to Klaviyo cancelling within the statutory period. Before you cancel: negotiate

Klaviyo does not publish standard retention discounts. Public reports in the community show isolated cases where a customer reported a credit offer of $150 that was later removed. Example quote from the community: "Your customer service offered a 150$ credit for my next subscription then they removed it when i complained that's dealing in bad faith." (source: Klaviyo Community Forum). To request retention or credits: open an in-app chat or email [email protected], describe the reason for leaving, and request a written offer. If an offer is given, request it in writing before completing cancellation.

What cancelling saves you - yearly examples

Compute yearly savings by multiplying the monthly price by 12. Examples using Klaviyo UK pricing:

• Plan for 1,501-2,500 contacts: £60 x 12 = £720 per year saved.
• Plan for 3,001-4,000 contacts: £80 x 12 = £960 per year saved.
• Plan for 8,001-10,000 contacts: £150 x 12 = £1800 per year saved.
• Plan for 20,001-25,000 contacts: £255 x 12 = £3060 per year saved.

Cheapest real alternative (free tier): Mailchimp and Brevo (Sendinblue) both offer free plans. Free = £0 monthly, £0 annual. If cost is the main reason, switching to a free tier can save the full plan annual cost shown above.

Refunds, unfair terms and escalation

Klaviyo’s published stance is that prorated refunds are not typically offered: "we do not process refunds for subscriptions that were not canceled or downgraded prior to their proceeding billing cycle, nor for non-usage," as stated in the community response. If Klaviyo refuses a statutory right, escalate: first complain in writing to Klaviyo; then contact Citizens Advice for guidance; for card payments consider Section 75 (for eligible credit card purchases) or chargeback via the bank; report persistent unfair practices to the CMA.

Download your data

Before cancellation, export lists, segments, templates, reports and any CSV exports you need. Klaviyo provides export functions in lists and analytics; ensure you have copies of all campaign content and customer data.

Final billing and refunds

If you chose "end at the end of the billing cycle" you remain billed until that date. Klaviyo’s public policy indicates they do not typically give prorated refunds. Keep all billing emails and the cancellation confirmation for dispute evidence.

Account re-activation

You can re-activate by logging into your account and selecting a plan if re-activation is permitted. Check billing details on re-activation. If you need a record, keep the cancellation confirmation email showing the cancellation date.
