Web (recommended)

1. Open your browser and go to www.komoot.com.
2. Log in with your account.
3. Click More (top right) and choose Settings.
4. Select Premium, then click Cancel Subscription and confirm "Yes, cancel subscription".
5. Keep a screenshot of the confirmation screen. Access continues until the end of the paid period.

iOS (Apple App Store)

1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Tap your name at the top to open Apple ID settings.
3. Tap Subscriptions, then find komoot.
4. Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm. Apple will show the cancellation date.
5. Save the subscription screen or Apple email confirming cancellation.

Android (Google Play)

1. Open the Google Play Store app.
2. Tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
3. Select komoot and tap Cancel subscription, choose a reason and confirm.
4. Google sends an email confirming the cancellation date; keep that email.

Email

1. Send a cancellation request to [email protected] including your account email and reason for cancellation.
2. Request confirmation of cancellation and any refund eligibility.
3. Store the sent email and any reply as proof.

Post

1. Write a registered letter including your full name, account email, request to cancel Premium, and signature.
2. Send to Komoot, Friedrichstrae4dfe 24, 10969 Berlin, Germany by registered post.
3. Keep the registered post receipt as proof.

Moving / relocation

If you move and Komoot cannot provide services for that new location, contact Komoot at [email protected] with proof of relocation, such as a tenancy agreement or utility bill showing your new address. Price increase

If Komoot raises the price of an ongoing subscription without offering an opt-out, you are allowed to cancel before the new price takes effect. Provide the price notice as proof and your cancellation request via the website or email. Keep the notice and your emailed cancellation.

Death of subscriber

In the event of the subscriber's death, email [email protected] with a copy of the death certificate and the account holder details. Komoot's support team will advise on account closure and possible refunds according to their refund rules.

Legitimate ground (service not provided or defective)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. End of commitment

Komoot subscriptions have no minimum commitment period. Cancel any time; cancellation stops auto-renewal but you retain paid access until the paid period ends. Cancel using the account Settings or the App Store / Google Play interface depending on where you bought Premium.

Cooling-off period

For online service purchases you have a 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 starting from the day you place the order. If you expressly consent to immediate download or service start and waive the right, the cancellation right may end. If you used the service during the cooling-off period, Komoot may charge for the portion of the service used.

Before you cancel: negotiate

Research does not show standard retention discounts offered by Komoot. There are no public reports of automatic "stay" discounts. To request an offer, contact support at [email protected] and include your account email, current plan, and reason to cancel. Ask explicitly for a retention offer or a discount code and request a written response. Keep any written offer as proof.

Access after cancellation

When you cancel Premium the auto-renewal is stopped immediately; you will keep Premium features until the end of the paid period paid for. No pro rata refunds are automatic; request a refund separately if eligible.

Final billing and refunds

Account data and reactivation

You can keep your Komoot account without Premium. To remove personal data or delete the account, contact [email protected] and request account deletion. To reactivate Premium later, subscribe again through the website, Apple or Google Play depending on how you initially subscribed.
