Cancel ITV the easy way

Website (official account cancellation)

1. Open www.itv.com and sign in to your account.
2. Click the profile icon and choose "Manage Account".
3. Confirm your email address and password when prompted.
4. Under "Your plan" click "Cancel subscription" and follow on-screen prompts.
5. You will keep access until the end of the paid period; ITV does not provide partial refunds for mid-period cancellations.

iPhone or iPad (App Store)

1. Open the App Store on your device and tap your profile.
2. Tap Subscriptions, select ITVX Premium and tap Cancel Subscription.
3. If you cannot cancel on-device, follow Apple's support pages as the subscription may be managed via Apple.

Android (Google Play)

1. Go to play.google.com and sign in with the Google Account used to subscribe.
2. Click "My subscriptions" on the left, select ITVX Premium, then click "Manage" and "Cancel subscription".

Amazon (Amazon Channels)

1. Open Amazon account settings > Memberships and subscriptions (or Channels) and find ITVX/ITV channel.
2. Select Manage or Cancel channel subscription through Amazon.

Moving address

Rule: If your reason to cancel is relocation that affects service availability, provide a copy of new address or tenancy agreement as proof. ITV's published help pages do not list a standard relocation cancellation form. Evidence required: proof of new address (utility bill or tenancy agreement).

Price increase

Rule: If ITV increases price during a subscription term you may have a right to cancel. Evidence required: notice of price increase (email or in-account notification). Applicable law: Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 protections over contract variations.

Death of the subscriber

Rule: To cancel after the subscriber has died, supply a copy of the death certificate and the account holder's details. Evidence required: certified copy of death certificate and relationship proof.

Rule: You have a 14-day right to withdraw from your Premium subscription from the date of sign-up if you have not started watching content. Before cancelling: negotiate

What ITV offers: research does not report a standard retention discount for ITVX Premium. ITV does offer a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. How to ask: use the account "Manage Account" messages, the contact form at www.itv.com/contactform, or email [email protected] and request any available offers or promotional rates before cancelling. Keep copies of any offers in writing.

ITVX Premium monthly price: £5.99. Monthly cost for 12 months: £5.99 x 12 = £71.88 per year. Annual price: £59.99. Yearly saving by choosing annual rather than monthly: £71.88 - £59.99 = £11.89 per year.

Cooling-off and refunds

If you withdraw within the 14-day period and you have not started streaming content you are entitled to a refund under Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you started streaming with explicit consent you lose the 14-day right for that service. ITV's published refund policy states no partial refunds for mid-period cancellations; you retain access until subscription expiry.

How to escalate a dispute

For suspected unfair contract terms or persistent hard-to-cancel issues contact the Competition and Markets Authority. Access and billing

After cancellation you retain access to ITVX Premium features until the end of the paid period. No partial refunds are provided by ITV for unused days after cancellation. If you subscribed via Apple, Google or Amazon, refund and access rules of that provider apply.

Data and account

If you want your personal data removed, contact ITV via its help pages or the contact form to request account deletion. Keep a copy of any confirmation of data deletion from ITV for your records.

Re-activation

You can re-subscribe to ITVX Premium at any time. If re-subscribing, check for any promotional annual rate or trial available for new subscribers before subscribing again.
