Article 2 – Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use ("T&Cs") define the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with Billoff's provision of services for editing and transmitting certified, timestamped, blockchain-registered digital mail accessible in more than 180 countries, as well as AI-assisted drafting services and pre-designed letter templates.
Billoff's Services relate exclusively to electronic transmission. Billoff does not provide any printing, postage, physical postal delivery or registered mail services within the meaning of postal and electronic communications codes.
Article 3 – Geographical scope and languages
The Services are accessible online from the countries and in the languages offered on the Site.
In case of translation discrepancy, the English version prevails.
Article 4 – Definitions
- Client: any natural or legal person using the Services.
- Account: a personal secure interface.
- Document: content written or uploaded by the Client.
- File: final version validated for transmission.
- Template: a letter template offered by Billoff.
- Trial Offer: a paid trial period before switching to a subscription.
- Postal Operator: not applicable — Billoff entrusts no mail to a postal operator.
Article 5 – Acceptance and modification
Use of the Site implies full and complete acceptance of these T&Cs.
Billoff may modify them at any time. The applicable conditions are those in force on the date of the order.
Any price revision will be notified at least 30 days before it takes effect.
The Client may cancel before this date.
Article 6 – Description of Services
The Services include:
- creation, drafting and customization of letters via templates or AI;
- electronic transmission of mail to the recipient, accompanied by cryptographic timestamping attesting to the date and time of dispatch;
- certification of each sending by recording its digital fingerprint (hash) on a public blockchain, guaranteeing the integrity, traceability and non-modifiable nature of the transmitted mail;
- generation and provision to the Client of a digital proof certificate including the timestamp, document hash, blockchain transaction identifier and delivery receipt to the recipient, where applicable;
- access to the Services from any compatible device connected to the internet.
Billoff retains all proof elements (certificates, hashes, timestamps, dispatch logs) for a minimum period of twelve (12) months.
The Services offered by Billoff do not constitute registered mail within the postal meaning. They are provided as a qualified electronic registered delivery service within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 ("eIDAS"), so that the data sent and received benefit from the presumption established by Article 43(2) of that Regulation as to their integrity, the sending by the identified sender, the receipt by the identified addressee, and the accuracy of the date and time.
The AI agent does not constitute legal advice. The Client remains solely responsible for the content of their letters.
Article 7 – Validation of orders
Any validation of an order or a File by the Client constitutes final agreement and triggers performance of the corresponding Service.
No modification or cancellation is possible after validation.
Any errors in the information or content provided by the Client are the sole responsibility of the Client.
Article 8 – Transmission and certification of digital mail
Mail is transmitted exclusively by electronic means. Billoff does not perform any printing, enveloping, postage or postal delivery.
Each piece of mail transmitted through Billoff is subject to:
- cryptographic timestamping attesting to the exact date and time of dispatch;
- generation of a unique digital fingerprint (SHA-256 hash) of the document, guaranteeing its integrity;
- recording of this fingerprint on a public blockchain, giving the sending a non-modifiable, traceable and verifiable character by any third party;
- provision of a digital proof certificate containing all of these elements (timestamp, hash, blockchain transaction identifier, sender identity, recipient).
The Client may, where applicable, request the generation of an electronic delivery receipt attesting to the availability of the mail to the recipient.
The proof elements thus constituted may be produced in court, where they benefit from the presumption attached by Article 43(2) of the eIDAS Regulation to a qualified electronic registered delivery service. They do not confer on the mail the legal value of postal registered mail.
Transmission to the recipient is near-instantaneous. Consultation or response times by the recipient cannot be guaranteed by Billoff.
Article 9 – Transmission times
Mail is transmitted electronically and is generally made available to the recipient within moments of the File's validation, whatever the destination country.
The moment at which the recipient consults the mail depends on the recipient alone.
These times are purely indicative and do not constitute a contractual commitment.
Article 10 – Proof and traceability
Proof of sending and, where applicable, of availability to the recipient is provided by the digital proof certificate issued by Billoff.
Data available in the Client's Account shall be binding between the parties.
Article 11 – User account
Account creation is mandatory.
Login details are strictly personal and confidential.
The Client undertakes to maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
Billoff may suspend or close an Account in case of fraud, non-payment or breach of contract.
Article 12 – Pricing and taxes

Subscriptions cover access to software services.
Taxes are applied according to the Client's location (local VAT, EU OSS scheme).
Article 13 – Payment
Payment is made by bank card or any other payment method offered at checkout, through a secure payment service provider.
Subscriptions require authorization for recurring payments.
In case of failure or rejection, Billoff may suspend Account access and, if payment is still not made, cancel the subscription under the conditions set out in the Subscription Terms.
Article 14 – Subscription, promotional offer and cancellation
The Client may benefit from a 48-hour promotional offer at the rate of $1.36 incl. VAT, giving them immediate and complete access to Billoff Services during this period.
By validating their order, the Client expressly and irrevocably accepts the following conditions:
"I accept the 48-hour promotional offer at $1.36 and authorize automatic debit of $73.99 per month at the end of the 48 hours, with no duration commitment and cancelable at any time."
After the 48-hour trial period, the Client is automatically debited $73.99 incl. VAT for the first month of subscription.
The minimum amount charged for any subscription cancelled during the 48-hour promotional offer is $1.36 incl. VAT.
The subscription is then automatically renewed each month at $73.99 incl. VAT, with no duration commitment.
The Client may cancel at any time from their personal account or by email to [email protected].
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Any period started remains due in full. No refund will be made for amounts already debited or for services rendered (document generation or mail transmission).
Article 15 – Right of withdrawal
EU/EEA Consumers
The Client expressly acknowledges, before any order validation, that they wish the service to be executed immediately upon validation of their subscription, without waiting for the expiry of the fourteen (14) day legal period provided for in Article L.221-18 of the Consumer Code.
By ticking the box provided for this purpose at checkout, the Client expressly and irrevocably waives their right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article L.221-25 of the Consumer Code, in order to gain immediate access to the service.
As document generation by artificial intelligence and mail transmission are entirely executed upon file validation, no partial or full refund can be requested after this validation.

They undertake to comply with applicable laws, particularly regarding personal data and communications.

Billoff reserves the right to temporarily interrupt access without notice or compensation.
Article 18 – Delivery to the recipient
Billoff transmits mail electronically to the recipient's contact details supplied by the Client, without recourse to any postal operator.
Receipt then depends on the recipient's own systems and service providers, which are outside Billoff's control.
Any compensation is limited as set out in the article on warranties and limitations.
Article 19 – Warranties and limitations
Services are provided "as is".
No warranty is given for legal compliance, completeness or performance.
Billoff's total liability is capped at the amount paid by the Client over the last 12 months or €100 minimum.

No refund is due for the current period.
Article 24 – Destination zones
Mail may be addressed to recipients in more than 180 countries.
The same electronic transmission applies to every destination; no local postal network is involved.
Availability in a given country does not constitute any guarantee that the recipient will consult the mail.
Article 25 – Forbidden content
The Client is prohibited from transmitting or sending:
- any illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful or discriminatory content;
- fraudulent, falsified or counterfeit documents;
- unsolicited commercial messages (spam);
- confidential or personal information of third parties without authorization;
- any content or transaction violating embargoes or international sanctions. Non-compliance with this clause results in immediate Account suspension.
