Web (recommended)

1. Open a browser and sign in to your Vimeo account at vimeo.com.
2. Go to Settings - Billing, or visit Vimeo's cancellation help page: How to cancel my Vimeo subscription.
3. Under Membership plan select Billing on the left, then click Cancel subscription in the lower right and confirm the cancellation.
4. Keep a screenshot of the confirmation page and any confirmation email.
5. After cancellation you retain paid features until the end of the current billing cycle.

iOS (Apple App Store)

1. If you bought Vimeo via the Apple App Store, open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
2. Select the Vimeo subscription and tap Cancel Subscription.
3. Apple handles billing and refunds for App Store purchases; refunds must be requested via Apple.

Android (Google Play)

1. If you subscribed through Google Play, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile, then Payments and subscriptions - Subscriptions.
2. Select Vimeo and tap Cancel subscription.
3. Google Play controls billing and refunds for purchases made on that platform; request refunds via Google Play support.

Phone

1. Vimeo does not publish an official cancellation phone line. Use in-account cancellation or platform (Apple/Google) controls.

Email

1. If you need support beyond the account controls, contact Vimeo Support through their help centre or via the in-app support form.
2. When contacting support include your account email, subscription ID and screenshots. Keep the support ticket reference as proof.

Post

1. Postal cancellations are not documented by Vimeo, but you can send a registered letter to: Vimeo, 110 5th Avenue, 3rd Floor, 10011 New York, USA.
2. Include account holder name, email and a clear statement that you want to cancel the subscription. Keep proof of posting.

Moving abroad (moving/deménagement)

If your reason for cancelling is relocation, Vimeo's help pages do not list a specific relocation exception for refunds. You should cancel via your billing settings and keep evidence of cancellation. If you require a pro-rated refund contact Vimeo Support and provide proof of relocation such as a change of address document. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015 for unfair terms and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 where a cooling-off period applies.

Price increase

If Vimeo increases the price for an existing subscription at renewal and you do not accept the new price, you can cancel the subscription before renewal. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a disproportionate unilateral price change clause may be challenged. Keep any written notice of a price change from Vimeo and your cancellation confirmation as evidence. Applicable law: Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Death of subscriber

Vimeo does not publish a specialised death-of-subscriber policy. For account closure the estate executor should contact Vimeo Support and provide proof such as a death certificate and executor identification. Any requests relating to billing refunds will be handled case by case by Vimeo Support.

Legitimate grounds and accepted reasons

Vimeo does not publish a list of accepted "legitimate grounds" for involuntary termination beyond breaches of terms. End of commitment

If you are on a monthly plan you may cancel to stop future renewals. For annual plans cancelling after payment does not automatically trigger a refund. Vimeo states refunds are available within 14 days for annual plans and 3 days for monthly plans if purchased directly from Vimeo, subject to terms. For App Store and Google Play purchases use the platform refund process.

Cooling-off (withdrawal) rights

For purchases concluded online UK consumer law gives a right to withdraw during a cooling-off period. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give a 14 day cooling-off period for many online contracts; however, digital content streaming exceptions apply once download or streaming starts with the consumer's express consent. Before you cancel: negotiate

Vimeo's public help pages do not list standard retention discounts or promotional offers for customers requesting cancellation. If you want to negotiate keep your account email, subscription ID and current plan details, then contact Vimeo Support via the help centre. Ask explicitly for a retention offer, discount on renewal, or a pro-rated refund if you have a valid reason. Document the support reply and any agreed credit or discount.

If the matter concerns unfair subscription practices contact the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). 4. Statutory remedies

Confirm access and final billing

After cancellation you keep paid features until the end of your billing cycle. Check your billing statement to confirm no further renewals are scheduled and save the cancellation confirmation email or screenshot.

Account deletion or re-activation

To delete an account request account deletion through Vimeo account settings or support. Re-activation is possible by signing in and choosing a plan if your account remains active. Keep your account email and billing records to re-subscribe quickly.

Follow up on refunds or remaining charges
